No, but I don't want to deal with their bull****.

Besides, they're the enemy in ME3, so why give them a potential weapon they can do more damage with?

Considering
that they're so laughably incompetent that they can't even contain any
of their valuable information or projects without killing about 99% of
the project staff.

That is metagaming.. Sigh. I see where this will go. Moving on. Also consider Cerberus' "idiocy": EDI, REAPER IFF, LAZARUS, etc.

They f*cked up Overlord pretty badly and almost doomed entire galaxy without any Reaper help.

Archer acted on his own. Cerberus sent Shepard to investiage a cell believed to have gone ROGUE. Archer messed up, and had Cerberus ignored his failings, I would agree with you, but they sent their best cell(Lazarus) to clean up a dangerous threat.

Keeping the base to use it against Reapers? Ofcourse they'll find it good idea.

Give it to Cerberus? Ofcourse they won't like it.

In Mordin's case it completely contradicts the character's history and makes him look like a complete moron.  He knowingly signed up for a Cerberus operation and showed complete apathy to the whole organization. He even endorsed TIM's plot on the Collector ship and I'm supposed to buy a sudden reversal that he's dead set against them and is shocked they ended up with the base?

It's sloppy writing at it's worst.

And what stops a Reaper from going through the O4R, utterly destroy Cerberus and take back the base?

What could they use the base for? Make a Human Reaper? If they're doing that we have already lost.

It would be funny if keeping the game yields positive results. Imagine all the paragons screaming "WHY WAS I PUNISHED!?!?!?!??!". Unfortunately I doubt Bioware will do something like that because everyone knows they are the foster kids that have everything turns out right.

Poor renegades, always the self appointed victim of BioWare and naive paragons. There is always a post like this in most threads sooner or later...

Didn't you listen to Archer's logs?

Illusive Man forced him to rush the project or is gonna be shut down.

So yeah, Illusive Man f*cked it up and with pure luck galaxy wasn't doomed.

I don't.

It's just speculation.

Way better then "Renegades are getting punished" all over again.

I don't follow. What would they do with the base? They don't need it for anything, other than making a Reaper, and housing their Collector minions. And if they are rebooting their Human Reaper project and harvesting us, we've already lost.

^We don't know true purpose of that base.

I doubt they made it just for the sake of making a Reaper if Sovereign fails.

??? How does that make sense. Telling your employee to do a better job =/= telling him to do an inhumane experiment and ignore secuirity protocols. Archer was an imbecile. Archer said as much about himself.

I don't see what else they could do with it. It has no defenses or sensors. No weapons. Maybe Someone with Mass can tell us.

They probably find new insights into biology and weapons technology aboard the Collector base.It could prove valuable if you have the right people to study it.

You're kidding?

You seriously think Illusive Man didn't know what was really happening there?
He knew that Archer wanted to succed no matter what while Incompetent Man wanted to get results now.

So yeah, he f*cked up.

Could you tell me why the build that base?

Reapers are to arrogant to believe their plan that worked 100s of million years, if not billions too, but also made this base just in case Sovy fails at some point?

I'm pretty sure there's more then just create a Reaper there.

If I had the option to give the base to anyone else but Cerberus, I would've done it. Now all I can do is hope that there's something that can be salvaged.

I never understood that logic for destroying the Collector Base. You're more afraid of Cerberus than the Reapers? Anything Cerberus may do with that base isn't as bad as what the Reapers will do.

Im actually more afraid, that Reapers could take it back and start building new babynator. If it´s destroyed, Reapers must build new one, if they want to make new Reaper. That could give us some more time to save humanity.

They can´t just kill us all, or send us to that collector base, if it is destroyed.

@Mesina2

I don't think TIM knew the full extent of Overlord. You don't know if he did either. All we know is Archer was an imbecile and he pretty much says as much about himself. Archer could of scapegoated/blamed TIM, but he didn't. He took full responsibility.

I told you why I thought they built the base. To make a Reaper and house their Collector minions. I have no idea what other use they could get out of it. It has no defenses, sensors, or weapons. The only thing valuable about it is it's interior and maybe the know-how to make a powerful enough Mass Effect field around black holes.

Destroying the base may have been a Paragon option, but I totally did it for Renegade reasons. Watching TIM squirm was delicious.

Ummmmm... Yeah, they can. do you really think that's their only  way to make a new reaper in the entire galaxy?

Making a Reaper isn't as simple as microwaving some hot pockets. The Collectors had been working for two years, and were only in larval form. If the Reapers are making more Reapers then we as a galaxy have lost. Since it takes time and millions and millions of individuals to make a Reaper.

Paragons are emotional-based

Renegades are logic based

The problem w/ keeping the base is that you don't keep the base. You hand it over to TIM. I have no problem w/ Shep winning the day despite what color his/her dialogue options are, (I have both a paragon and a renegade Shep myself), but the illusion that Shepard keeps the base at the end is just that, an illusion.

nonsense

Paragons don't punch annoying reporters, shoot Conrad or push the Merc out of the window on the way to met Thane.
