Does It bother you that your heavy weapon covers the mass effect generator on your back?

I really like the way shepard looks without possesing a heavy weapon. I think it makes him look a lot more sleek, and the overall image of the character is improved. I don't enjoyed having Shepards back cluttered with weapons. Where could these weapons be put intstead or how can the heavy weapon be adjusted to fit not covering the middle of your back.

EDIT: I have messaged an employee about this. Hopefully he will reply.

Nope, but i would want to get to decide which weapon where going to take with us and leave the rest behind and atleast ME 3 going to let us choose weapon and agree that especially heavy weapons looked bulky on your back.

Why not have squadmates carry them;

Adept Shep: "Yo Grunt, pass me the Cain please. Oh, and since you're not using your Krogan Shotgun, hand that one over as well!"

They did. The heavy weapons took up half your back and were really cluttered looking. Is there any way I can contact Bioware with a suggestion like that?

I like the way heavy weapons operate, but I don't like carrying them around. They're too bulky and well, tacky. I want to see my back!

Agree. In ME2 I ended up just taking the particle beam most of the time because it took up the least space and it matched my armor. Although I would've loved to carry around the Cain or the Grenade launcher, but they were just too bulky for my liking.

As much as I'd like something to be done with the sleekness of heavy weapons, it's not game breaking hence it probably isn't even considered a problem.

I agree that Shepard looks pretty awesome without a heavy weapon covering his/her back, but it seems like such a petty thing to complain about...

So, yes, I'd love it if heavy weapons were placed someone other than the middle of Shepard's back, but it's not going to break the game for me if it doesn't change.

Adding the option to not take heavy weapons with you on missions shouldn't be too much work.

I think perhaps the Heavy weapon could take the place of the shotgun or perhaps it could placed on the side of your back and weapons like machine pistols and and heavy pistols could go on your legs.

well, you can try to contact one of the employees but they most likely won't listen to small thing like this.

A simple option to take a heavy weapon or not could do the trick... but I can see there being some problems in cut scenes. In ME2 my heavy weapon sticks through surfaces a few times already (first one I think of is the suicide mission when you get up after killing the giant terminator).

I like Shepard's look without the heavy weapons though and it would be nice to have the option not to bring one just for kicks.

How would I go about this? Email perhaps, written letter?
If someone could message me the info on what to do or their email etc.

That's not really an issue. The weapon itself didn't obstruct the view, and I liked the pull from over the shoulder animation as well. There isn't anywhere else on the body where the heavy weapon could be stored unless they go with the "Predator" look by having it shoulder mounted but that would obstruct visibilty. If it isn't broke then don't fix it. Now, to solve the issue, there could be an option to carry it or not into battle because honestly, I never really used the heavy weapon unless it was absolutely necessary and even then, it was the collector beam, Cain, or the Arc Projector.

I indeed feel that it is broken. Why have the object on Shepards back if you will never see it unless using your heavy weapon. It is almost there for no reason it might seem. I do like the over the shoulder animation as well, but I like the design of Sheaprd and I would enjoy his full potential.

The area that I placed in bold would be a reasonable compromise would it not?

Yes it would be reasonable, but in order to see that area of the back and not have a power weapon would be less intelligent. I understand I probably can't have my cake and eat it to though.

Reading this gave me a thought: it'd be cool if Shepard could opt to forego the heavy weapon in exchange for a small boost in mobility (speed).

I ended up playing entire runs with only the Firestorm on my back, since it is the smallest heavy weapon.

I do agree that without them Shep looks helluva lot better. Adding the option to choose  whether to take or not those miniature cannons is pretty much a must. I swear, if it got implemented, I would never take another heavy weapon for as long as I live. :D

THAT IS BRILLIANT! or perhaps if you learned how to use another weapon then your class allowed(not soilder) you could put a weapon on the side of your back as opposed to the heavy. Great idea.

This got me thinking of something related, I'd like to have at least one new spot to carry weapons.

For example, what I mean is being able to have the Predator on Shep's right leg and the Shuriken on the left.

Also it would be neat to have the ability to store the Shotgun on Shep's left or right shoulder, instead of the lower back.

With the same flexibility with heavy weapons, where instead of being there dead center on Shep's, either capable of being on any of the other three spots on Shep's back.

Furthermore, it would be neat to have trade-offs where if you only have, say, two weapons, you'd have some sort of boost to how many shots you could fire with those two weapons.

Just add a visibility toggle for heavy weapons, similar to the helmet toggle feature. Problem solved.
