Ok, well I'm having a couple of problems.
When I set a .mor file from faces to one of the presets it shows up with the default face, but with the tints and hair from the .mor. What am I doing wrong? Where is the mop data?
Also, the face replacer script doesn't seem to work for me. It only comes up for a moment, saying there is a syntax error. I've tried multiple versions.

.mop and .mor are different file formats. The way the information is stored and the structure... the presets use the .mop format, so you will never be able to duplicate the .mor face as a preset.
npc faces, on other hand are handled as .mor files.
With Origins game, one could edit the savegame or use the face replacer to patch the .mor saved face on the player character, but i do not think it is possible to do with DA II, at least not from what I've seen. (I could be wrong...)
Hope this isn't too confusing.
