As a native New Yorker I too would like to see someplace different. Central America is being developed, how about showing it being destroyed. I bet that would ruin those real estate investors day. I'm part tree hugger.

I would like to also see cities we've never seen before, along with the classics.

When was the last time you saw Moscow getting destroyed?

Cairo?

New Delhi?

Heh, an unintenitonal one apparently.  Yeah ST4 a Alein Race attacks earth while sending out communication signals, people determine they mimik the exticnt species the Humback Whale calls.  They find out that the Humback whale is rather smart and has been in communication with this alien race for millenia and now that they went extinct the race came to investigate.  Kirk and crew go back in time to bring some humbacks into the future.

Hillarious hijinks in the city of San Franciosco ensue.  This being during the height of the cold war my favorite is when checkov is walking around town and with a thick russian accent is asking actual random people on the street where we keep our nucular vessels.  But that may be one of the you have to be old enough to have been there to get it jokes.

Who says NYC has to be destroyed? From what we know, Reapers have only attacked Europe. We could go there for a mission before it's destroyed. Can someone tell me which RPG lets you navigate/explore the streets of futuristic NYC (a la Los Angeles from Blade Runner) in it's full glory?

The trailer shows San Francisco at the end, and when the German girl is on it says huge explosions in Adelaide, Australia and Fort Worth, UNAS.

1. Bioware is actually a Canadian company (Long Live The Maple Leaf!)
2. It'd make sense to move the focus to someplace that has a bit more grandeur (and present-day Vancouver/Seattle definitely have potential for that). Plus, in the ME world it's the Alliance's headquarters on Earth (iirc; it's not NY, in any case).
3. So is Vancouver/Seattle
4. I Heart NYC, but this relationship is starting to get old tbh. :kissing:

Personally I'd like St.Petersburg, or failing that Moscow.
Alternatively, maybe something a bit more Indian...

Apparently it's a Vancouver-based franchise that expanded to the U.S.

Being from the New York region I am actually glad that NYC will be in the game cause its almost like what can potentially happen to NYC and the Long Island region in the future. One thing I do want to see either actually visit or a cinematic of it being destroyed is Rome. Rome was the First Caput Mundi or Capital of the World and can truly be seen as the capital of Western Culture, the culture that dominates much of the Humans of Mass Effect. Plus it'd be interesting see all these futuristic buildings around the ruins or if Italians decided to create a futuristic Greco-Roman architecture making Rome a really unique city.

They have to use some huge city though. Not central America or Canada or Africa. We need something that is internationally known and loved. London and NYC are great, Paris and Moscow too. The other less recognizable places you are mentioning will probably be seen in cutscenes though.

New York, London, Paris, Tokyo, Moscow. Seen and re-seen. I want to see Budapest, Atlanta, Glascow, Barcelona and Amsterdam. City we don't see often.

As has been said many times, it's been done to death.  Also, most of us outside the States don't really have any emotional connection to the place.  It's simply refreshing when the rest of the world is ackowledged, basically.

Personally, I was hoping for Singapore and New Calcutta to be featured in the game.  From the timeline, I got the impression Singapore was one of the most important cities on the planet because of the concentration of biotics there (I think there was some kind of accident at "Singapore International Spaceport").  And apparently New Calcutta is one of the wealthiest regions on Earth.

In any case I hope we see Arcturus Station, since that's the capital of the Systems Alliance.

Crysis 2. After seeing that that game would go from having a frozen forest to being another game set in NY, I got sick of the location. Hell yeah for Canada though.

I dont mind them showing a huge smoking crater then zooming in on a sign along the edge that reads welcome to new york :)
