I was rather surpriced to find that this was possible - you can start a thread, and then give it five star rating yourself!

This makes the rating system effectively meaningless. Trolls come by, start threads, and rate them five stars to get visibility. Really poor, unimaginative threads receive five star ratings from the OP.

This should not be possible! You clearly should not be able to rate a thread you started yourself. The rating is supposed to reflect the response you get to the thread by other people, how THEY evaluate it.
