Beside the story I wonder how the darkspawn will look like, after the second redesign. Hopefully more like in DA:O or DA:A.

What second redesign? Image IPB

This is it. That’s BW chance to react to direct fan feedback.

 They come up
1.       With new environments
2.       A new foe
3.       Hopefully Darkspawn (redesign back to DA:O/A)

Ahh, i thought it's something they maybe said somewhere. I wouldn't really count on that happening, then Image IPB

The Conductor is a train with a demon face on the top and when you loot her dead body you get Champion Overalls and a jaunty cap +5 against Amtrak hotdogs.

Everyone laughed when Thomas the Tank Engine took up blood magic. Who's laughing now?

Well....
Tower
Key
Deep Roads
Family

I'm guessing it has something to do with a tower, Hawkes ancestors, and an ancient key.

As long as it's not another 'insane idiot antagonist who is crazy for no reason,' I have no problem with it. I'm hoping this DLC will allow Hawke to be proactive and permit him to use his wits.

Right because the AD has a ton of "motive" in the first game. Can you people at least try and pretend to be consistent instead of just stupid.

I bet it is like Assassin's Creed 2. Ezio had to collect seals in order to unlock Altair's Armor. Hawke probably has to go around enchanting some key in order to get his ancestral armor.

I'm really curious how the new "old" darkspawn minions will look like, hopefully like DAO or at least a connection for the good ol' RPG gamers with intentions of creating something new, but at the same time founded on old successes...

I hope there's a lot of satisfying content packed really close together in this, 'cause it doesn't sound too long. I was hoping for an expansion, but if you can captivate me with an area we've technically visited for a short time then you'll restore some hope I seem to have lost.

And FFS: No more copy/paste levels.

Thanks. :)

To be fair, the Archdemon got more screen time than Meredith and Orsino combined Image IPB

Loghain is a great antagonist. The Architect is a great antagonist, of sorts.

Meredith wasn't. She didn't get enough characterization, and they completely butchered Orsino. Orsino could've been a great ally, and they instead decided to make him turn into a foe for no reason.

Let's see, short dream sequence (2 secods max), deep roads (5-6 seconds) and then final battle.

I don't think I've encountered a big bad that's gotten less screen time and development since... I don't know.

Whistling smiley was used for non serious comment because I had no clue which smiley out of many was appropriate to use Image IPB.

But in truth, we did learn much more about the Archdemon (and the darkspawn as well) throughout the entire game than we did about Meredith and Orsino.

Really, DAII has a concept that is the main antagonist, not a character....

...its really the concept of human failures that is the main antagonist of DAII.

And DAO was LOTR with gore, nothing more. The Archdemon is basically Sauron and the Darkspawn are the orcs of Mordor.

DA:O was rather bland, but people like when they don't have to think too much, so they hold an opinion that DA:O was superior writing.

As much as i'm meh about the LotR comparisons, Sauron gets similar exposure in it. Or lack thereof.

Demons, darkspawn, Deep Roads...ughhh. Looks like they caved to all the harping for a return to the ss/dd formula.

Thanks for sharing, though.

I'd say loghain is more the main foe of DAO than the big dragon, really by the time you reach the end its not even a very tough fight. Loghain was the one who murdered the king, tried to kill you on more than one occasion, darn near got the whole country wiped out all because of his paranoia regarding Orlais. Sure killing the dragon was key to winning the game, but really the main guy you're after is loghain, the final battle is really just a nice little setup to the awesome ending. Of course the DLC won't be able to have an antagonist nearly as meaningful as loghain, but if it can be better than the completely underexplored Meredith, that'd be great.
