[Periphery]

 Hello, so I've started playing mass effect, the first game ran perfectly didn't have any troubles at all. Then I started playing mass effect 2 and it played perfectly up to this point where I am now. Right off the bat on the horizon mission, right after you have gathered all your crew, the game crashes. I have no idea why it crashes and I've read through different posts on this forum trying to find a fix but nothing has helped. I have tried playing from an earlier save but the same thing happens, it crashes right on the same spot. I am desperate I really like the series and want to continue playing. Have anyone else have this issue? Don't know if it helps but I bought the game off steam.

Appreciate any help I can get.

1) Please register the game on the forums. This is not an accusation, but given the spate of users with illegally downloaded copies coming to the forums asking for help, forum registration is the only way we can be sure we are dealing with a legit copy. Alright, I registered my ME2 copy now, didn't find anywhere that I could register my ME1 copy. I am currently reinstalling my ME2 to see if that will fix the problem I'll get back with an updated problem report if the problem still exists.
