I am creating a flow chart for my work and I was wondering about the options at the end of Mass Effect 2. I was watching various Youtube clips and I was noticing that the choices at certain junctions are somewhat limited (you cannot choose from any member you want). I was wondering if there are in fact combinations that, overall, gives you the choice for every selection of one of your 12 teammates? For example - I noticed in several Youtube clips that Legion was not available as a 2nd Fire Team leader, is there a way he can be? I ask because the flow chart is going to map every possible outcome of the ending ... it's going to be a big flow chart, I know :-P Thank you in advance for your guys' assistance :-)

If you send Legion into the vents, but he isnt loyal, he will die, and thus be unavailable to be selected as second fire team leader.

Awesome - that flow chart is excellent, thank you. I have been making my own and so far I am at the end of "The Approach" with a total of 105 different possible outcomes - but I need to verify something - does the priority listing for who will die in The Approach prioritize through loyalty? Like If Kasumi and Legion are loyal for the shield upgrade portion, will it skip to Tali (assuming she isn't loyal) or is it randomly chosen?

I don't think loyalty is an issue for the upgrade section, so Kasumi would die in your example (of course you could take her with you to fight the Occulus or never recruit her).McCord wrote...

Loyalty affects the chance of success/survival in each job but for death order I think it only affects the "hold the line" segment (though I can't say I've tested it myself or anything).

Yes that's right. I've had Thane "impale" Shepard and then get impaled himself, on purpose. Damn losing that LI! On purpose.
