The first things I'm going to do is gmail them to myself so I can dump them into an archive location that will actually be accessible.

I have a couple of them still (expansions) but am missing the main game's manual since moving twice.

Hi guys. The site where the CDs are stored and the authentication servers were hacked and are down temporarily to protect user information until the holes in their security can be plugged. Hang in there. The folks at bio are working hard to get everything back up.
Thanks very much for the clarification and understanding. I see I posted prematurely before being able to spend enough time reading posts. Thanks again for the reply!
Since it's down to protect, then I am perfectly content in waiting for it to come back until Bioware feels assured in bringing it back up. I have NWN2 installed still so getting an old fix of NWN will just have to wait.

Thank you for contacting EA Support regarding your issue with NeverWinter Nights. Your issue has been forwarded to our Escalation Team for resolution. I apologize for the inconvenience, but EA did not develop or publish this game. You will need to contact Atari for further assistance.

That said, it's probably pretty common that the game publisher (as opposed to the current owner of the game developer) is in charge of tier one technical support and that would be Atari. So, this is sort of their issue, though I don't pretend to know what agreement they have with Bioware (and EA) regarding CD keys. But, I don't see where it's fair to pin all the fallout from this incident completely on EA.
And, of course, that's ignoring the more fundamental issue of the boneheads who actually orchestrated the attack. No matter what one thinks of Atari or EA or whichever Evil Corporate Overlord™ is the target of today's rant, it remains that it wasn't any of them who decided to make their "point" about security by *bleeping* innocent gamers.
But, returning to CD keys... Regardless of which company is actually responsible for getting keys to people (if any of them are), imputing a malicious motive to them seems premature at this point. It's quite possible that there is some technical hurdle to overcome in order to make the CD key data available to people who kept them on the hacked server without just getting another server hacked. I mean, imagine the firestorm of protests if they just say, "Oh, well. People want their CD keys, so I guess we'll just open up our previously unhacked CD key database, even though we KNOW the hackers have the names and passwds for those accounts." Then, when tens of thousands of CD keys are stolen and those players can't play online, will anyone be here saying, "I'm glad they rushed to make those keys available"?
Don't get me wrong, I am one of the people who got the email and now I have to worry that I may have difficulty playing online at some point. But, I wonder what people would ask EA, Atari, or Bioware to do before they figure out a secure way to let people have access to data tied to the hacked board? I'm serious; I haven't seen how this sort of situation is usually handled, so I'd be interested in hearing what people have in mind.

I really don't have any particular love for EA games, though I really do think that Bioware has done right by folks generally in their support of NWN.
I agree, I've had a pit in my stomach for so long since hearing about EA's buying of Bioware. I swore to never buy another EA game again after UO went so bad. However, Bioware keeps making a liar out of me now because I still have faith in them and hope they will not let or have EA constantly making changes. EA is good at sports game, they need to keep thier wigs out of the RPG genre.

So, anyway... yeah... I'm kinda lost on the new-board-CD-key-hacked-database current event. I'd stopped coming regularly to the boards years ago. I think the last time I was on was back in 2007 or so.
What's going to happen? Will new keys be issued? I'm a pack rat, I keep everything, so I still have the CD keys that came with the games. Not sure if I'm supposed to do something or not... I only really played multiplayer a couple of times with some friends before they moved on to WoW. If I can still play SP, I don't think this affects me much.
I do miss the initials of the games I own next to my avatar though.

Whats the link for the old web page so i can log in and get my cd keys??
You can't.
There are several posts and threads regarding this.
The old pages are completely dead, and Bioware has not made any more news available other than the fact that someone hacked their old servers so Bioware shut them down.
We keep hoping that they will return at some point in the future, but it is certainly taking them a long time to do it.

TBH, considering how old NWN is, I highly doubt that EA intends to do anything about the situation. Doing so = money. Money that could be spent developing the many projects EA is working on.
Would you throw money at a 10+ year old game that you no longer provide updates, expansions, or support for?

The question still stands. How can I get those CD-keys? I have not seen any message from Bioware "we deleted all CD-keys for games users purchased previously", until it is released like this, I do not believe they can do this to their customers.

That was the most useless reply I've ever seen... Last comment at the moment I posted it stated some hope in decent behaviour of Bioware. 6 month later I wanted to know if Bioware did anything good...

It does not matter what you believe Bioware can or cannot do. They may or may not bring the master server back online, but it is very far down on their list of ToDos. So stop whining. And what about "most useless"? If there was anything new about this issue you would find it on top of the topic list. And NWNDM is right - this question is asked and answered that often it gets annoying. Use the search function.
If you don't keep your stuff it's your responsibility if it gets lost. I had my keys stored on the Bioware legacy forums as well, but never ever would have thought that it is Biowares responsibility to keep them save for me.

It's just a case of taking personal responsibility seriously. Mommy and daddy won't be there forever to protect your interests so better get with the program before it bites you on your derriere. I guess some members of the community have experienced their first bite. There will be more as the days wear on. Trust me.
The codes I typed in there are inaccessible like everyone else's. Meh.
