Shep upsets people, that's a given. Reapers have been defeated twice, their anger is understandable. Cerberus lost an investment and advanced tech, okay. The council races never really had much faith in the human Spectre, don't really care. Batarians suffered a blow, a hard decision (though one we had no control over). Identifying my enemies are becoming blurry. Do I have to watch for my crew? The Alliance has set me up before so do I use Rene option when dealing with them? Keep your friends close and enemies closer like they say. With so many "unknowns", the trust issue is going to get people killed. I know who the enemies are but who has more to gain and which one of my squaddies are going to breathe bullets? Thoughts?

I would probably just lock myself in the captains cabin.

LMAO I forgot all about this topic. This is what happens when you post late at night living on coffee and pizza.

Geths ,though i'm not sure its reciprocate.

The Geth stand to lose more siding with organics than to keep out of the war. In all likelihood the Reapers would ignore the Geths if they didn't interfere and there is no guarantee that organics wouldn't shoot on anything robotic after the war is over.

That not withstanding , I'd trust the Geth since i don't believe them to be liars in any sense of the word.

{Edit; I blow up the base on most runs, i don't believe they harbor gudges either .}

I trust no one but I'll work with cerberus as much as I can. As long as I'm a valuable asset, they're the organization least likely to stab me in the back for a stupid reason.

It's "the lesser of two evils" for me. However, I wouldn't be surprised if Cerberus turned on me since everyone else has.

Individually, I'd trust my crewmates. A certain two - NFQ!

I trust my Colt 45 Peacemaker. With it, I will deal with those yellow belly Reapers personally. They will hide, but I will slap them out of their hiding corners.

We already know Cerberus will turn on you.

I trust my crew and several (not all) of my team. That's it. I'll work with everyone, but trust them? Pah. Might as well shoot myself in the foot before a battle.

Bioware is saying that now, but I'm reserving judgement. given as so far there is absolutely no logical justification for it, I'm hoping it turns out to be just a few indoctrinated cells.

I know that. I was referring to another thread that hypothesized about how we may get some addition Cerberus allies (that being if Miranda and Jacob stay, but even if they don't) we could get some former Cerberus allies and not necessarily those two - unless they're with Shepard. However, you know what happened last time, so it may be moot if they joined you though having resigned from Cerberus.

Jack: What? You're still with this *****? (nvm, romantically if that's the case)
Shep: But she resigned from Cerberus
Jack: So, she was still part of the faction that did this sht to me.

Ash. maybe she'll be a little more forgiving since having apologized, but she like Jack will still in Miranda in a Cerberus getup.

I was hoping that, too, but then they came out with the information that about 40% of all enemies will be Cerberus. Hard to see that as just a few indoctrinated cells.

I think a few of the squad members I would still trust.

Liara, most of all; everything she has done has been to help you so far. Ashley, Garrus, Samara, Joker, Anderson and Hackett. I don't know that I would trust or distrust Grunt. I just know he'd be there to curb stomp some enemies. Thane doesn't seem important enough for it to matter either way. Everyone else I think could have conflicting loyalties one way or another.

The only one I really see absolutely no reason to distrust is Liara, though. Her agenda seems to be: Shepard. I think plenty of the characters will prove themselves in ME3 though.

Trust no one. At the end of the day they've all got their own agenda deep down and they'll choose that over you if they have to.

I guess that I can trust only Reapers. They are the only ones, who are doing exactly what you think without any hidden agenda or plans to benefit others lost. They just want to kill everyone. :P

Now jokes aside. I guess your Normandy crew is only one you can really trust. They have been with you thick and thin and they have make some sacrifices for your sake.

What exactly did the Alliance do that warrants forgiveness in the first place?

I strongly suspect the deal with Cerberus will be a lot more complicated than it appears on the surface.

One of the developers, during a presentation at E3, commented that "The Illusive Man is behind the stuff Cerberus is doing, and you'll have to find out why he's doing what he's doing" or something to that effect.

I get the impression that that whole situation isn't as clear cut as it seems.

I'm still trying to figure out what they did that everyone hates on them for.

The people that I think are 100% loyal to Shepard are: Liara, Garrus, Tali and Joker I literally can't think thsese characters will do anything against Shepard.ever.

The Alliance swept Shepard's efforts under the rug. Gabby and Ken explain that much.

Also they disbanded everyone, sealed all records and grounded Joker.
Used Shepard's likeness for recruiting while it was convenient.
Stripped him of the Normandy.
Put him on trial in part because of the events of Arrival which were, in fact a cover-up Alliance operation.
