I support Cerberus. it's the only "board" with a clear vision.

Nah... In ME1, Admiral Kohoku says "They've gone completely rogue, Shepard!"

You know, that "they've gone rogue" excuse is really getting old. TIM overused it, and I can imagine he learned from the Alliance to explain everything on it. Now the Alliance claims Cerberus has gone rogue...but even after playing through those Cerberus-related missions in ME1 I cannot tell whether or not Cerberus was still a branch of the Alliance when they murdered the squad on Akuze.

TIM has never pulled the 'rogue' excuse: it was always the player who discovered it... a grand total of twice. Teltin*, in which the reports were being faked, and Overlord, in which Dr. Archer was preparing a presentation when the VI breakout occured.

*Thanks for the correction

I can easily picture Admiral Hackett standing up at the trial, pointing at Shepard, and saying, "He didn't blow up the system on Alliance orders. All I asked of him was to save my old friend from the Batarian prison. Shepard's gone completely rogue!"

That is a pretty accurate assessment, the first two sentences especially.

By Akuze you meant Pragia/Teltin.

None. If I was inclined to any, Cerberus for its active and straightforward philosophy (not that my Shepard neccessarily agrees with everything they do). Unfortunate that we have no choice but to oppose them in the 3rd.

I really hate all three of them. Cerberus is so pushy, the council is stupid, and the alliance just seems to be completely useless.

i support myself and the squad i have chosen. my decisions, my rules, and getting stuff done the right way. makes the most sense to me and with the right crew then the only people i need to be listening too are them. and i can fight to save humanity because it is what should be done and not because im being asked or ordered to by some corporate thing

Hmm, well I was more or less loyal to Cerberus in ME 2 and I also gave them the collector's base at the end. is it inevitable that we have to fight cerberus in ME 3? well if it is, then I think I will support the Alliance, the Council didn't do squat to help me in ME 2, in fact the only person I saw was Udina and I hate that guy. Also Anderson is no help at all in ME 2 and keeps saying the same damn things every time I visit him. what I am interested in is, if the Krogans will fight by my side In ME 3. I wonder if having Grunt alive and the genophage research save on the Normandy will win me any favor. I wonder how Miranda and Jacob will react with TIM's betrayal. should be interesting.

For some reason, I read this in Tali's voice.

" .. I just watched the rest of my team die."

Alliance definitely, they are a lot more active than the citadel and more concerned about collateral damage then Cerberus, plus in ME3 Cerb is indoctrinated and the council has their own problems.....so slim pickings.

F**k all three, my Shepard will form OBELISK, a new faction with Liara. She has the intel and resources so, those other three clowns can jump off a skyscraper and cut their throats on the way down.

I find all three groups too deliberately narrow minded to deserve any kind of real loyalty.

The alliance just wants to protect its interests in the galactic community and don't care about anything else so they pursue the same kind of deliberate ignorance that the councill does.

Cerberus just wants to advance their narrow human centric (I still think the're a beard and TIM is a reaper) agenda with their ruthless methods being most likely to provoke retaliation from all other species.

All the council cares about is making sure nobody rocks their boat, and they will do anything to that end. The councils obstinate pursuit of deliberate ignorance re; the citadel, the keepers, the the fate of the protheans and the reaper threat makes them a long term danger to the galaxy.

None of these groups has shown any kind of ability to deal adequately with the up coming invasion. Ill take help from any of them but when the dust settles and I get to setup the next galactic government they will all be left out in the cold.

Cerberus has. they located the best tool for that job (shepard) outfitted him as well as they could and gave him funding and support.

I'd throw my lot in with a less extremist Cerberus... but that's not the case so the Systems Alliance it is.

It doesn't appear that Bioware ever really knew what to do with Cerberus and in particular TIM. There's some reference to a "General" at the end of the Rachni side-quest but nothing comes of it either in ME1 or 2. Then in the Ascension book TIM is some CEO for Cord-Hislop who operates out of their corporate headquarters' penthouse.......on Earth.

Just quickly, but can't it be inferred (strongly) that the General they're talking about is General Williams? The guy that seems to be the spiritual father of Cerberus if nothing else.

I'm kind of in-between all three. I definitely don't trust the Illusive Man or support Cerberus' human supremacy stance, but at least they're willing to take action against the Collectors in ME2, plus they win a few points for giving me a new ship. I feel like the Alliance and the Council both have noble goals, but they both get too mixed up in politics and don't take action fast enough when a threat arises. It seems like I'll get more support from the Alliance in ME3, but that's probably just because they finally realize I've been right all along and now I'm they're only hope. At least the Alliance has some good people like Anderson and Hackett who stick up for me. I guess if I had to rank them, it would be Alliance > Council > Cerberus, but more than anything I support me and my crew.

I'm a Council man myself. Not for any particular love of the council members or politicians (except Anderson), but because I'm a friend to all species. The council, despite its flaws, represents the interests of more than just one race. I will always be loyal to humanity, but I also hold loyalty to Turians, Asari, Salarians, Krogan, Quarrians... I think ya' get the picture.

I guess I'm like Kelly Chambers, I love everyone. ;)

@Skirata129 granted of the three Cerberus has been the most pro active they have other marks against them that makes me not want to trust them or believe that they will best represent galactic civilization in the long run.

Honestly, if I had to pick, it would be the Alliance, then Cerberus, then the Council. My reasons is that for one thing, Shepard has and always will be N7 military. ME2 didn't shake that. Even if they seemed to use him as an icon and poster boy, they are still fighting for humanity and many people in the alliance would be willing to fight by his/her side (not gonna leave you ladies hanging)

Cerberus is mainly human interest, and yes, their actions have been overzealous before, but don't forget that there are people that aren't neccesarily in it for self interest. The crew in ME2, by majority, have all joined Cerberus for a reason, mainly because of the bs the politicians spread despite the obviousness of things that are unfolding in front of them. The engineers, Kelly, and the cook joined because they wanted to do something without being restricted by beureaucratic **** and ends up screwing everyone over in the end. Miranda and Jacob are no different, though Miranda may still stand up for Cerberus's cause no matter which ending happened in ME2.

As for the council, they can kiss my *** in ME3. Honestly, it's not the Citadel I have a problem with, but the council (except Anderson, but mostly the Turian guy). The only reason I even bothered to save them in ME1 is because if I chose to let them die, then that may make the other species think less of humanity entirely. So the only ones I would fight for in the citadel would be the regular people, not the counselours. And a part of me still feels Udina may redeeem himself , as well as the Asari and Salarian since those two did bring up some logical points from time to time and we have to see things from the other side sometimes.

In the end, are fight for the people, not the governments. My opinion of course but throw in your own.
