I've never been too attached to the Alliance or the Council. I play my Shepards renegade for the most part, and I'm pro human. Not pro Cerberus. I'll let the council die and throw in an all human council, but I'd never join Cerberus willingly. The more you look into Cerberus the more you see they are a really crooked organization.

Funny that Miranda's my favorite character... but that's another matter.

I'm actually curious, can anyone list some accomplishments that Cerberus has actually made for humanity?! It seems like everything they do ends up with dozens of human deaths and no progress...

Jack probably 'counts' on one level, although that's relative- Cerberus might have wet their pants in anticipation if they had held on to her, but most of us are going to view it as an atrocity.

They found a way to communicate with the geth... kind of.

And essentially paid through time and resources to find a way through the Omega-4 relay. Then they turned against Shepard.

All in all, not what one would call a winning strategy.

I'm down for team stop the Reapers. Due to every other major political power treating the threat as such.

Council; "Ah yes, Reapers"
Alliance; "Go do some tedious task, Oh you died? Well we don't care enough to send in a clean up crew."
Cerberus; "Everything has bitten us in the ass before, so we don't mind if you screw us over too, in fact TIM likes it."

TL;DR. Everyone has been an idiot and I'll drag them to their salvation if need be.

None really, my Shepard works for greater good for all races and alot of the time Alliance & the Council don't see eye to eye with me (Ah "Reapers" inncident with the Council , and how both misunderstood why I was working for Cerberus). though if I had to choose which flag I fly under though I would choose Alliance just to show the other races that us Human are not all racists

I'd go with Cerberus. Sometimes you have to do the things no one else is willing to do to further technology. We could probably be decades ahead of our own times if ethics and morals weren't in place and the public didn't have so much say.

@brand new, completely agreed. the average citizen is completely uninformed on most issues, but still has vocal opinions on them as well as a vote. therefore, politicians are inclined to pander to the uninformed masses and restrict any tech that some local idiots have found to be "offensive" "playing god" "dangerous" or "distasteful"

It would be fun if I could coerce Udina into becoming my personal court jester.

See, that's the problem with you anti-Udina/TIM folks. You've got no humility. Anyone who doesn't bowdown and treat you like a king is to be scorned.

For shame.

So I'm as egotistical as the guy who constantly ***** on Shepard (the twice-heralded savior of the galaxy to boot) and believes a combination of whining/impotent threats is the best way to sway the Council?

Works for me.

I'm with Cerberus. We stand on guard between humanity and the darkness beyond. We're the Earth's first and the last line of defense. Shepard owes Cerberus more than he can say. And I will stand by TIM until the very end.

As you can see, I'm in for a world of pain in ME3.

I don't believe my allegiances are going to affect ME3 story is any significant way. If there's any roleplaying available, it's probably going to be about past, not present - about the time when Shepard worked with Cerberus. We're lucky if we get an option to say "It was a necessary evil at that time." Hoping for an option to still support Cerberus in ME3, that's probably asking for too much. Just the fact that Shepard introduces himself as "Commander Shepard, Alliance Navy" already looks pretty grim for the roleplaying.

Probably the Alliance but I've always been a Council sympathist (even if the Council could be a little bit less stubborn I don't hate them too much. Except for that biased Turian counciler. Screw him.)

Well shes still a Spectre so she reports and obviously supports them first. They are her bosses now so to speak. Still she will never forget her roots and will help the Alliance whenever required. As long as it doesn't conflict with her Spectre operations.

Although with the start of ME3 being a trial it sounds like the Council have turned her back on her again... So maybe that stance will change again.

or none of the above, but whichever one you state, please say why. I can't figure out why so many people are Cerberus haters.

Also, how do you think our loyalties to one over the other will affect ME3? so far it looks like Cerberus loyalists are screwed.

For the Systems Alliance? For the Council? For Cerberus?

No. For me.

Anderson and Hackett are the only Alliance members I will listen too and help when asked, and even then that is more respect for them as individuals rather than respect for the group they represent. The rest of the Alliance has been just as useless in helping me as the Council. Even worse, I KNOW they know the Reapers are real, but rather than work with me to convince the rest of the galaxy with the evidence they have gathered, they would rather sit right alongside the Council telling everyone it's a big hoax while they prepare to address the Reaper threat personally. Given the E3 demo, I do not expect this plan to pan out for them.

Honestly, I think Cerberus had some good ideas. They don't sit around debating about what to do, they go in and personally check it out. Now, don't get me wrong, strategy and debate are all fine and dandy, but at some point you need to act. If you never act upon your words, all you're doing is making pleasant noises.

I hope that Shepard starts up his own mercenary company at the end of the series that is not prejudiced in it's membership and has the express purpose of safeguarding the galaxy from evil doers. Basically, less Cerberus and more A-Team.

Freelance. I'll take specific missions from any of them, provided they have a good cause... and pay enough.
