In general I would say that I do not support any of them.

The Council has thumbed their noses at humanity since day one, and insist on ignorning the Reaper threat.  They're the stereotypical politicans/beauracrats that most over anaylze/debate everything to death before acting, and by that time the problem's way too big.  They'll allow the every day men and women to suffer.

Cerebus, I don't trust the way TIM runs the show.  The way he handled the derelict Collector ship really pissed me off and showed he uses people like disposable tools.  I don't believe for a minute that he was doing all this in ME2 to save human colonists, but instead his true agenda was to capture Collector base and technology to use for his own means.  Whether that use would be for conquering the other races in the galaxy or fighting the Reapers, I don't know. My gut says using it for his own master plan of making humanity the dominat race.

Other then Hackett and Anderson, The Alliance is a lap dog for the original Council and otherwise a paper tiger if the original Council is dead.  I get the impression that they're full of beaucrats that would rather follow the Council's lead then believe in one of their own, Shepard.  I support Hackett and Anderson since they've supported Shepard, and I hope that they either break away from the lap dogs in the Alliance HQ or take control of the Alliance.

or none of the above, but whichever one you state, please say why. I can't figure out why so many people are Cerberus haters.

Also, how do you think our loyalties to one over the other will affect ME3? so far it looks like Cerberus loyalists are screwed.

Working with Cerberus was a temporary alliance at best, and seeing as they are trying to kill us in ME3 I can't side with them.

The Council?... They got us into this mess so I will work with them if I have to, but I don't like them. Never have never will. As a matter of fact if I can get rid of them I will. That form of Government has failed us. We need something new. Something more democratic. Every single species should have a voice. Not just the few and powerful.

Alliance- I love the Alliance and I'm sad to hear that they've been beaten back. If the Reapers have taken Earth then they've probably taken the Arcturus system as well which means the Alliance is, for the most part, down and out... :crying:

So I'll have to go out on my own and side with other races that haven't been hit yet.

The Council; They might have good intentions, but they are way too blind and get used to their position as knowing what is best for whole galaxy.

Alliance: They did start good, but they just used Shep's fame to their advance and they were fast to dis Shep, when his/hers usefulness was used.

Cerberus: Simply detested organization. Their goals are just wrong and the means to achieve them are even worse. I would be happy destroy Cerberus along with the Reapers.

So, I'm not loyal to any of them. My loyalty is for your crew and most importantly stopping the Reapers.

Depends on the Shepard...

But I'm mainlt pro Alliance because they represent my species and the Council is ignorant...
Cerberus is a faction that just can't be trusted, this statement has been proven by TIM multiple times..

Alliance and Council are pretty talkers, but Cerberus gets stuff done. They brought Shepard back to life. In this war, you either nut up or shut up, and Cerberus already is there.

Yep right there with the Reapers.

Say what you will about the Reapers, but they are at the top of the food chain for a reason

Whoever makes sense at the time. I'm not completely loyal to any one, all have their uses, so I'm open to listening to all sides. Tentatively.

I support the Alliance, the Coucil, or Cerberus depending on which playthrough I'm currently using. Most of the time, I'd say Alliabce though.

Of course, each has its use, but Shepard might not think so. Since all have screwed Shepard over at some point. However, Shepard could "pull a TIM" and use them given the severity of "pissed-offness."

"I am of no use to you, but you could be of use to me." - Renegae Shepard obviously.

As for that "somethng else" they don't have ... well, that could vary from Shepard to Shepard (player-to-player)

All in all, it was just an "antonymous" joke.

Why? He's the one who established Cerberus, gave it its current political, economic and military weight and hasthe loyalty of the entire organisation.

To a certain extent, I'm with the Council. They at least represent the interests of the majority of the galaxy, even if their efficacy is somewhat questionable at times.

All things told, if I were my Shepard, I'd rather be working on my own. I've got one of the best teams in the galaxy and my girlfriend heads the most effective information network ever seen. I've got the team and the resources and the direction and the drive to get things done. Let someone else worry about border disputes or trade agreements. I'd be focused on making sure people had the opportunity to live out their lives the way they want.

Council and Alliance, after all I am commander shepard of SSV Normandy SR-2 and A council spectre. Cerberus can eat my bullets. Anybody working with reapers is my enemy. I killed Sovereign, I killed the baby reaper. I blew up the collectors base and killed all collectors. Rest of the reaper fleet is next.

Like a previous poster said "I'm Blue through and through..". Yes the Alliance has disappointed me from time to time, but as far as I'm concerned that's a family affair. We'll work that out amongst ourselves. Fight it out over the kitchen table. But if someone else tries to mess with my Alliance, then I mess with them.

The Council.....yeah, I saved them, but wow do they get on my nerves. However, I still have respect and appreciation for these other cultures. A previous poster (Can't scroll back enough to get your name, but) stated that their loyalty was to galactic peace. I agree. I think that's the most honorable, mature perspective. Sometimes you have to fight to defend yourself, but nothing like having war break out in your hometown to realize just how valuable working towards peace is. War is horror.

Cerberus? Lol. Cerberus is a **** organization doing all kinda sadistic, evil, twisted stuff. To advance humanity? No, that's just their propaganda. That kinda, if they ever got dominance, don't think it woulda stopped at alien races. They woulda dominated humanity, too. I wonder just how interested in helping those colonists Cerberus woulda been if they hadn't suspected there might be some tasty Reaper tech at the end of their twisted rainbow.

I saw what they did in ME1, and heck, ME2 with Jack. They don't care about human beings. They want a super soldier. Those kinda ppl will do some really bad things to humanity. Not help them. So, no I have no loyalty towards Cerberus. I'll stick a knife, or, uh, omniblade in them every chance I get. Hey, Bioware/Mass Effect team..you don't need to have TIM chasing my Shep. around the galaxy in ME3. Let me find out where he is, and my Shep. will be on his front lawn yelling "Bring him out!" Lol.

Anyway, one thing I like about the ME games is that there's no real good/bad groups (except for the Reapers..and who knows what their story really is). Every race, every group, every faction within a race always has this good and bad. Even your squadmates say some things sometimes that are...questionable. And you're like, "What? What did you just say?" I'm interested to see what the Reaper's backstory is because noting how ME likes to gray area characters, I'm suspecting, and hoping that they'll turn out to be more than just the iconic bad guys.
