Who do you support? Alliance, Council or Cerberus?

Working with Cerberus was a necessary evil, I didn't mind the crew but do not trust TIM and have not forgotten Akuze. I look forward to battling with them in ME3.

I'd also support the Alliance in other playthroughs because I kinda missed their role in ME2 and some characters, like Anderson and Hackett, I'd like to keep helping their cause to prove humanity is worth it.
The council can go to hell for all I care, still, I'll support them in some playthrough just to see what happens; personally I've disliked those 3 a-holes since the very moment I met them lol.

The Alliance is way weaker but still better than nothing.
Failberus is a small and isolated self defeat that only gets Shepard more enemies instead of allies. They have outlived their usefullness.

I don't want humanity to be a puppet of the council; but at the same time I don't want humanity to be a domineering force since history has shown that mankind is quite capable of imposing tyranny if too much power is concentrated into the hands of a select elite.
As for Cerberus, I won't be happy until I've exterminated every last one of them and I have the Illusive Man's pretty blue eyes sitting in a jar on my desk.

Also, Cerberus are a bunch of suckers who should go die in a fire. True story.

I am loyal to the Council, and humanity for as long as they are part of said council.

I say the same thing for all 3 factions.
I hate Alliance, Council and Cerberus.

I support the Alliance and the Council, but if the Alliance were to ask me to put humanity's interests ahead of aliens' well being, I would draw the line there and only support the Council.

I wonder how many of you actually pursue the same line of thought in real life when it comes to your countries. And how many of you will side for another country instead of yours.
Maybe it's just me and I take decisions in games as I would in real life but seriously what's the logic behind crippling our own kind for the sake of aliens.
Hating Cerberus on moral terms is all fine and dandy and I can understand that but not promoting our own kind sounds illogical to me.

I accept the need for some sort of 'meeting ground' with leaders for interspecies co-operation, because we know that other species exist and thus we understand the necessity. I believe in the necessity to cultivate and find new friends, and working together to help achieve mutual goals by forming agreements etc. Having said that; I don't support the concept of 3 people essentially making laws for untold billions of inhabitants.
I support the need for humanity to have a unified galactic face for the benefit for the meeting ground. I also agree with the necessity of that galactic face being capable of not just diplomacy, but military action in such situations where such a reaction is needed.
But, I also believe that while laws are good, I believe it's naive to assume that everyone shares those principles. I believe that sometimes bad things must be done for the greater good. I believe in the necessity of 'black ops' organisations to 'keep my friends honest' and my enemies in a position where they can't be my enemies. I believe that while having friends is good, there's no guarantee that they will always be my friends. War's are costly to prosecute and have an uncertain result, ergo, it makes much more sense to me at least to trust some matters to a key snipers bullet than sending in the Alliance Marines, especially since the Alliance Marine's would be easily identified as being Alliance marines.
For example; the Skyllian Blitz was orchestrated by one

I do my best to play as a Shepard who would take the same choices as I would in real life; I don't think people are opposed to human interests per se, I just (like many others) don''t support human dominance over all other races or securing human interests at the expense of the rest of the galaxy
And personally I would take it further and say that the Alliance should've been more patient with the Council in ME1 over power sharing.. but thats more me

True, yet these people would also support alien interests at the expense of humanity.

I've always wondered this as well.
There just seems to be a lot of love for aliens when it comes to this game. Nobody likes the humans or something.

People who say that tend to mean they would be willing to sacrifice Earth to stop the Reapers, which isn't even a pro-alien view
It's like saying whether I am a patriotic British citizen or not, sacrificing the UK to stop the entire planet from blowing up would make sense

We're not at the level of our own existinece where we can "promote our own kind". We still "promote", judge, and seperate our own kind based on gender, race, religion, etc.
People are just relating to aliens the same way.

The only council race that is worth a damn is the Salarians, inteligent, logical and resorcefull.
Turians in general are totally stuck up in their ways.
The Asari are always trying to play diplomatic, and failing.
The Alliance is just as willing to use you (as Shepard) as Cerberus.
They also want to put humanity on top, and use every possible rsource for it.
They push you as the first human Spectre because it forwards their cause.
They ask you for several cover up throughout ME1.
Aaaand they shaft you when you become "more trouble than you're worth".
Not happy about it, they call you to help again in Arrival, and again they scapegoat you.
On the trial i'm telling everybody that what was happening on that asteroid was an Alliance operation. I'm done with them.
Cerberus has the right idea, and is straightforward (rather than political) about it, but the wrong leadership.
