I modded my game once and changed Shepard's character model to use TIM's instead... I then ran up to a group of enemies on Freedom's progress and let the mechs kill my character... over... and over... and over again.
I felt good afterward :P

I hope you felt real good about dooming humanity to the Collectors and the Reapers afterwords.

No offense to anyone, but deliberately killing off a character and therefore risking cutting yourself out of potential content for purely emotional reasons is beyond me. Pathetic no matter how you try to spin it.

You're assuming we have only one Shepard. ;)

Tried to kill Jacob, they snatched Thane instead. It was horrifying and I felt guilty towards both of them. I don't even have a real problem with Jacob, just wanted to mess with the ending.

On my save that I will use for ME3, everyone lived.

I did it so that the dark tone is kept throughout. Plus it seemed wierd when all my teamates mentioned that we would lose people and no one died...

Jacob got shot in the face, I laughed quite a bit.

What? If someone has to die, might as well be the annoying one. *.0

You want to get real twisted?

- Don't do Zaeed's loyalty mission until after you finish the game
- Keep zaeed alive during suicide mission (use the end game calculator program to help with this)
- Set up the ending so that Zaeed is the one who saves Shep's life at the end game.
- Once suicide mission is over, go do Zaeed's loyalty mission.
- At end of the loyalty mission, turn him down and leave him to burn alive.

Now that's evil.

I killed all the alien crewmembers in my pro-human Shepard playthrough.

It was a surprisingly fun character to RP; especially during ME.

Nah. I never hated any of the ME2 companions. I was only ever uncomfortable talking to Jacob as a fem!Shep 'cos she sounds like a cat in heat (for the love of the Maker, please don't let her speak to Joker like that in ME3!), but that's easily rectifiable by pressing mute on my TV remote and simply skipping through the skeevy bits.

The only time any of my companions died, and not on purpose, was during my first playthrough. I made the mistake of taking Miranda along as a biotic shield during the suicide mission and lost Thane who my fem!Shep was romancing. Hey everybody! I found something Miranda's not perfect for! Who knew, right? Still love the girl, but as a biotic shield? Not just no, but HELL no.

No. I saved everyone. Even if I didn't really like them. Jack was the one character I thought was a huge ****, and I thought Jacob was too... normal and boring. But he was a nice guy and Jack turns around somewhat after her mission. That and Jack is a really interesting character. I'm curious to see what their stories will be in ME3. If there are any actual different scenarios or consequences to certain characters being dead in ME3 other than they simply aren't there. Then I might do some playthroughs where some people die to see the alternate scenes.

I liked them all, but to have 12 squad members, for the "suicide" mission seemed a but much. Like how many did we really need? Ok we had two tech specialists, two biotic specialists and two leaders. Everyone else was just filler

Yes, I voted Subject Zero off the island.

I found her personality and antisocial attitude so grating, I couldn't tolerate her for very long (or at all!). :pinched:
And add to that her freakshow looks (my eyes hurt everytime she got cutscene time), I decided to purposefully get her killed so I wouldn't have to put up with her in Mass Effect 3.

And then there was Zaeed Massani.
I rejected him because he was too similar to Subject Zero in terms of personality.
Fortunately, he was a DLC character, so I didn't have to take him on the team at all!
And if he comes back for ME3, I'm going to stop playing right there, install his DLC then kill him off and start a new ME3 game just to get him gone as well.

They were the only ones I wanted to get rid of, the rest of the squadmates I have no issue with if they choose to return.

Basically, the view I'm taking is, if Bioware forces you to take squadmates you don't especially like, you're perfectly entitled to do whatever you want to remove them from the state of play, as it were.

It annoys me no end that Subject Zero is a mandatory recruitment, but Grunt and Legion (my two favorites) are optional recruitments.

If I'd actually been offered the choice, I'd have left Subject Zero to rot in jail and just moved onto the next lot of names on the list.

But I wasn't.

And I disapprove harshly of SZ trying to undermine Miranda all the time.
You want to discuss command protocol?
If a private continually harasses your second in command, you'd kick them off the ship ASAP or send them to a court martial.
And that's how I saw it, SZ is a low ranking member of the crew picking fights with one of the highest ranking ones.
That was not acceptable to me.

So. when the time comes, I felt nothing about sending SZ to her death to get her out of ME3.

Don't forget, it's pathetic when you play the game the way you want to play it. <_< Nevermind if you genuinely don't want the content. Just wait until the "omgz i r psych major, i r analyze u!" kiddies roll in.

Once, I killed Zaeed because I was mad that I didn't have a high enough paragon score to make him loyal.

You can play it that way I just think it is retarded to.  No matter what kind of freedom a game gives me I need a certain logic to my decision making, even if it is a logic I don't agree with if I can find a way for my character to actualy be able rationalize making a decision than at least it makes some sense.

Shepard did rationalize them; he just hates them and wants them gone so he got rid of them permeantly. With a few new party members that are still alive he hates all the others for the simple reason they are not the original and wants nothing to do with them. As in a matter a fact my shepard will look for a reason to kill vega and when he sees it good bye vega.

Oh, I feel sorry for my Shepard, then, as she is not clairvoyant. And because she isn't, she makes mistakes like most other people. Fortunately for me, sometimes those mistakes have the possibility of freeing my game of characters I'd like to avoid. Good for you, though, that your PC can think through everything, make the best possible decision every time, and therefore spare every character ever.

Isn't that a little petty?

And no, I didn't kill someone off deliberately. I liked them or was indifferent to their existence.
