I have a stack of playthroughs where everyone survived but in my last one I deliberately let Garrus, Tali, and Samara die. Kasumi would have gone too but I forgot about her, lol. I don't hate these characters but they do annoy me to the point where I don't use them so they might as well not be on the Normandy.

No. I've never played a game saying I don't like this character so they will die. I don't hate any of them and even the ones I'm not overly fond of, do not get killed off on purpose.

In ME1 I've left both behind one time or another. I've left my LI and I've saved my LI. Some who have romanced Liara or don't have a romance, have saved Kaidan, their Lt, and others have saved Ash.

In ME2 I usually do not do the med upgrade and I don't always get everyone to agree (Jack/Miranda; Tali/Legion) that they are being a pain in the butt. So I only have one or two games where everyone survives.

I never send anyone to do a job I don't think they can do, and I don't look at the instruction sheet that is out here somewhere showing who should be assigned to what job. The only thing I do intentionally, is to get most of the loyalty missions out of the way before picking up Legion. I lost crew once and never want to do that again.

I get teary eyed any time one of the team dies.

I would say that I also get teary eyed when a team member dies...but that wouldn't be true since I LOL'd when Zaeed died.

Zaeed didn't die.  You don't actualy see him die in that explosion.  He will be back to hunt you down in ME 3 because well he is Zaeed.

You just don't get it do you? The whole point of having a game with choices is so you can work out which choices are the RIGHT choices.

I.. I.. I can't live with myself, onelife! I made all the wrong choices in Mass Effect! All of those pixels.. all of those poor poor pixels.. I.. I can't believe I paid for the game and everything only to reveal to the world how much of my real life revolves around killing a fictional character.. I just.. *runs off crying*

On my save that I will use for ME3, everyone lived.

Your just going to play the one game?  Or will that just be your first play?  I do have a perfect one, but I'm planning on bringing over every game I've been playing for the past however long I've been playing.  Over a year maybe.

Oh, he was just knocked out. I'm sure he escaped before you blew up/radiated the entire place.

All I can say is thank god for Garrus and Mordin, because I was getting scared once the first teammate you get in the game was an idiot and the second one was a ****. Then came Garrus and Mordin and I took a sigh of relief.

I have lost people before but never have I lost anyone on the SM on purpose.  First couple of playthroughs when the game first came out and I didn't know what I was doing and recently one of my renegades lost Tali (though not on purpose) in that playthrough I sold legion to cerberus and having less than the usual number of people must have somehow triggered the death at the end probably a number crunching thing bioware programmed into the game.  My point is it is kind of stupid to send someone like Jacob through the vents just because you the player doesn't like him and you know it will kill him.  In a sense you are not thinking as your shepard instead you are thinking of you as a player out of game.  I like to immerse myself into the game when I playing where I literaly think of myself as Shepard when I am making the decision. 

*shrugs* My immersed self in my FemShep (or my RPed Sheps who share only a few of my characteristics) will make a mistake and someone will die for it. It's war. Oops.
