Ok so this is game breaking, and I just got this.
Upon booting the game (first time) I see the Renegade/Paragon L2/R2 trigger displays on the opening menu, and they do not disappear except through loading screens and pre-rendered video sequences. I've played the game on X360 and never seen this problem.
But that's not all. The worst error seems to be a failure to load my available dialog choices in the opening scene. When given the choice to respond to Liara for the first time, i'm given the usual wheel display with the selection arrow pointing at my choice.
But each option simply says "Con Text Here" where dialog options should be (6 total).
I tried to just select something and press "X" but nothing responds even though I know my controller is working. I tried each option. I also tried each other button at each option. The only response I seem to be getting is the dialog selection arrow moves around the wheel matching my controller LS motion (but no selection highlighting occurs).
I just bought this game and registered my Cerberus Account. Please help me fix this issue.

Never seen that one in the 250+ hours that I have played ME2 ON PS3. Not saying it can not happen.
To me that looks like a possible installation issue or some files got corrupted on the installation.
If you are not too far into game I would try a fresh reinstall, but I not the expert here.

i've tried re-installing over and over. then I went and traded the game in for a PSN Points card, and then I purchased the digital downloadable copy of ME2 from the PSN store. after that I still get the issue, but now I can run the game at 480p and the issue goes away. not the fix I was looking for since my TV really doesn't look all that great at 480p.
