It keeps saying that login/password are not valid.
Well I'm pretty sure I would have remembered if I had changed it in the past 12 hours... :P

Anyone not able to get in?

On that note...if you buy DLC and have it installed...how can you play when EA servers aren't working?
I don't know why they couldn't give a 'key' that say works for 30 days from the last successful login...that
way if their servers don't work at least you can still play with your purchased product.

I could not sign into any of my EA games either and I had an e-mail that did mention something about a bioware hack? if I remember right.

I did the whole pass reset thing and so far everything seems to be back in order.
I have not tried everything out, but the couple of EA things I have tried to get into seem to be working alright.

I have the exact same problem, right after i bought a bunch of DLC too. The password reset did not work for me, though.

I normally dont sign in once I have registered my DLC, and just tested it then. It told me a sign in change had occurred, and I should restart my game. Exitted, reloaded ME2, signed in and no problems.
Best bet is to contact EA support, as theres nothing anyone on these forums can do about account issues, apart from test their own account and connectivity to the servers.

I couldn't login to my EA account here on the forums. A simple password change fixed it though.

The old bioware forum was hacked, and that is why it was taken down. They are resetting passwords because of this, and shouldn't take too long to get it straight. I requested an email for the link to change and it took a few minutes to get it, probably because of the number of people that are getting this.

I'm concerned as well. ME2 PC version isn't showing up for me in my profile, either, and I bought DLC for it after I decided that I'd rather play the game on the computer instead of on consoles. Since it is the one that came for free with DA2, I'm worried that it might not get restored. Tried playing just now, and the game wouldn't start up.

Are they going to put the old forum back up? It has too much info to lose on it.

@Zepaeon: Do you mean when you hover your cursor over "My Games" that ME2 isnt showing up, or when you actually go into "Register Games" its not showing up as already being registered?
If the former, then thats the way it has always been, if the latter, then there is a problem. Note you still have the red 2 under your avatar, which means it should still be listed as registered.

@Slayer: Agreed. Much valuable data was lost when they took down the forums. Lets just hope they restore it.

Thanks but...
Um...to contact ea support you have to login...

So I have not been able to contact ea support.  But then EA never answered my other requests for help (~titled: I want to send you money, please fix your checkout website) from 3 months ago either.

The password reset link is not working.  It takes > 12 hours for an e-mail to arrive. I couldn't login this morning, tried to get a new one sent to me, contrary to ea's message of new password sent, it took all day to arrive (and per the message source, ea didn't send it for 6 hours.)  When I clicked on the link it says "this link is no longer valid, please request a new password."

Way to go EA...once again.  :wizard:

I just checked EA's Australian support page, and while they do have a phone number listed, its an 8-bit number which they charge $2.48/minute to use. They also have an email address listed for "Prompt Assistance and Support".

Once again, the obligatory Penny Arcade comic gets dusted off and brought into the light.

Edit: Little bit of digging I found a phone number for US residents to try, doesnt mention anything about being raped charged like Australians are. 1-866-543-5435

Edit2: They also have a twitter account for supoprt for those who like their answers in bite sized chunks.

I got two emails, but when I tried to use them there was a message that the link was invalid. I will call in the morning and find out what I need to do to fix this. Thanks for the phone number Bogsnot1.

It is showing the 360 version as registered, but not the PC. I bought the 360 one on release since I originally didn't have a PC powerful enough, but things changed. After getting the free version, I bought DLC for it intending to take that one over to ME3. Now it isn't showing up when I go to 'Register Games', although the DLC area does recognise that I own PC DLC.

Very strange, I would suggest registering it again just to make sure the key is still "yours" if you know what i mean. If it doesnt work, then wait for the bruhaha to die down a bit, then contact EA about it.

I had to reset my password as well after receiving an e-mail. But now all of my registered game promotions for Dragon Age Origins and Mass Effect 2 are gone. Anyone has an idea what to do?

You will have to contact EA support, as they are the only ones who can do anything about your account settings.

You actually can have a password reset sent to you without logging in. You can go to http://profile.ea.com and use the "I forgot my password" option on the first screen underneath the login area. This will generate an email to be sent that will contain a password reset link.

Password Reset dosent solve the problem.
And its only ME2 where i have the problem DA2 works fine, Origin hat a bit hassel this morning for me said the Auth. Server had some problem 4-5 hours later login went just fine in Origin. Only ME2/Cerberus is still offline for me say always Mail and PW dont match(spare me the wisecracks i confirmed it twice pw is ok and entered correctly).

So any news at all about the problem? Wish to play my fresh bought dlc...
