I read the post in the "confirmed features" thread and it didn't answer the following question:

Regarding the final importable save file:
ME1 saved before the decision of choosing Anderson vs Udina.

Does the ME2 save stop at the defeat of the final boss, or will it include play time after that?

For example, if I play Arrival after the final boss, will ME3 import those consequences?

There is no inherent 'last save' in ME2 like there is in ME1, so I think that as long as you saved your game after completing the DLC, the decisions should carry through.

No it imports your last save after you defeated the final boss of course ME1 couldn´t do that becuase you couldn´t save after the final boss which is why you had to choose that in ME2 so yes.

Yeah, official word is that you can import any save you've created after the Suicide Mission. I'm not sure if that means it'll allow you to choose between them if you have more than one or if it'll automatically take the one with the latest timestamp.
