Krogan - any species with 4 testicles needs to be preserved at all costs.
Quarians - momma needs a new set of desk lamps and that's what the Geth are for.
Who will you side with?

I would try to find a peaceful way to settle the Geth and Quarian war since I think both side's need to stop the BS. On Option 2 I pick Krogan only because Rachni Queen is dead in my main.

Why would I have to decide between rachni and krogan?
The krogan were basically "hired" to kill the rachni, and the rachni got stomped. They probably harbor no animosity toward them, seeing as how it was just a warriors typical work day for them. On the other hand, I could see the rachni not wanting to work with the krogan, but the rachni Queen already knows her people were influenced and at a lot at fault for the war, she also owes Shepard.
The obvious conflict, one we already know about, is krogans not working with turians.
As for geth and quarians, probably quarians. Geth can just download themselves into one giant, isolated super computer in the edge of the galaxy and live forever. The quarians fill a very nice sci-fi niche that I like having in my Mass Effect universe.

when the majority of a species falls within certain parameters, anything outside those parameters is an outlier.onelifecrisis wrote...

like mordin said, there's outliers in every species.onelifecrisis wrote...
But what about the one that spouts poetry? He's got a job. Like a 9 to 5 desk job that doesn't involve killing anything.
So when you see a Krogan that agrees with your preconceptions it's typical, and when you see one that doesn't it's an "outlier"?

Hmmm. Side with one and doom the other? Some Quarians want war. Whose to say that by the time of ME3, the war hasn't started? If there was an option to be the mediator? I'd probably take that. But if no options for that are available then I'd side with the Quarians. Not because they are a living, breathing race but because I think there will be a problem if the Reapers went after the Geth. Even though the Geth have turned down offers of tech from the Reapers, I believe that machines will be more susceptible in being turned quicker than indoctrination affects living organisms.Golden Owl wrote...
If it comes down to having to make a choice in ME3....Quarians or Geth and Rachni or Krogan...Who would your side with and why?
The Krogan or the Rachni? As much as I love Wrex and Grunt, the sheer numbers of the Rachni would be advantageous for a land war where numbers can help to overwhelm. But then again, the Krogan may have the tactical advantage by utilizing ranged weapons and having the "Regen" ability. I have to look at it by thinking who would pose the greater threat to me, a reaperized Krogan or Rachni? So I can't really decide on that one with full confidence.
What about the Asari, Turians, Salarians, and Batarians? Would I let them live or burn?
Asari commando units, Matriarchs, and Justicars, very useful talents if offered. They'd live.
I don't know much about the STG but in ME1 they were easily overwhelmed on Virmire. If ME3 called for sabotage then maybe I'd help them. Mordin was cool but as a miltary power, I can't see the rest of the Salarians being really useful.
Batarians spend more time trying to intimidate people. They are confident in numbers but if their numbers start to dwindle then I see them as nothing more than cowards that will abandoned anyone on the battlefield.
Anyway, that's my two pence.
