It is legit. I couldn't log into the Cerebus network or EA last night because the EA server did not recognize my password. This morning I got the email, reset my password, and was able to login to both the forums and EA. The question is why are the hackers attacking gaming companies? This makes no sense.

I also got the email and thought it was a scam. But after a quick search on the net and confirmation from a site like rpgwatch and reading this from this thread
http://social.biowar...index/7653193/8
i did what the email said.
I'm just glad that Biioware takes this seriously and that they inform us as well.

As a security precaution the latest email went out to all BioWare account holders regardless of game ownership. If there was an EA account attached to your BioWare account EA has reset the passwords for those accounts. If you are having any problems with your account or password please call EA Support as they are there to help: 1-877-357-6007.
We really appreciate your support and are focused on having everything remediated as soon as possible.

Also, a handy way to ensure everyone is signed up and ready to pay on Origin.

This wasn't a scam, it's an official email from the System Admin since the hack in the NWN forum. I'll close this, so that news gets out, and you're free to open a thread discussing it in the Off Topic forum
