How many Reapers do you think there are?

My personal theory is somewhere between 500 and 1500. Depends on the distribution of dreadnought sized reapers to cruiser sized reapers.

Enough that they can facestomp all normal opposition and finish reaping everyone within a couple of centuries, but not so many that Shepard can't come up with a way to kill them all.

I think a few million.

We shall a way. But it Depends, each and everyone of us will have a different experience in ME3 because of our personal choices.
We'll ALL end up defeating the Reapers in different ways.

Too many. You can't beat that many no matter what you do.

Well, it's a big Galaxy out there, so the number has to BEYOND the billions, or even trillions.
It takes the Reapers multiple centuries to complete an extinction cycle. If there were that many, they could do it in a few weeks.

The reapers reap the whole galaxy in just a few centuries. Wikipedia says there are 50 billion planets in our galaxy, of which 500 million may be in the habitable zone of their star. That's a lot of reaping. And they're supposed to "darken the sky of every world". Seriously, I think there's a LOT of them.

Holy ****! I can't imagine taking THAT long to destroy something. Then again, it IS the Milky Way we're talking about.
Hey...here's a good question.
They hybernate in dark space correct? So why do they ALWAYS attack this galaxy? Surely they would be able to make relays in others.
I guess they like us as a target the most lol:P

But the Reapers only attack space faring civilizations, which in the time of ME3, have explored maybe 1% of the galaxy, most likely a lot less than that.

Well, it's not just destruction you see. If they just wanted to kill everyone, they could exterminate a planetary population by nuking from orbit. This would take mere hours. However, we can gather from the trailer that doing a proper "reaping" takes much longer. On a high population world it probably takes at least a few months, maybe even a couple of years.

And i bet something like 1% of those races gets to be Reaperized too.

If there are any races in those unexplored areas, that is.
And there's damned good reason to believe there isn't. If there were, how come they haven't activated their local mass relays and contacted the Citadel races?
Short answer: they don't have the tech. And thus, they aren't Reaper targets.

That's still a lot of reaping. From the trailer we know they spent at least a week on just one city (London).

9000 Reapers. Matches description set by Sovereign, who said there are thousands. And this should also be enough to darken the sky of every world... that is inhabited by the soon to be extinct species.
