Samara/Morinth probably not a squadmate anymore.

Now, if Samara/Morinth was back on the squad, why would they make a matching outfit for Liara? Seems to me like a salute to ME2 fans who are gonna miss their favorite asari, which is cool, but still, I am sadfacing so hard right now.
Sorry if it's old news. Not like we didn't expect Samara/Morinth to get cameo'd--she was #1 on the chopping block apart from the DLC characters. And she'll still be in the game at least, if only for a minute or two.
Either way, I'm going to slap Liara in that outfit and pretend she's Samara. Because I am going to miss that Justicar.

Edit: And, I suppose, the head-piece.

Apart from being red, why do you think it's a Justicar outfit?

Liara: Shepard we've ben over this!
Shep: You look just like her.
Liara: you humans are all racist!

My hope is that even if Samara's presence in ME3 isn't high-quantity, it will be at least of the very highest quality.

Of course, Bioware wouldn't dare give us two squadmates of the same species that aren't human. Kinda lame, though I see why it's done.

Okay, so I was geeking out over the ME3 Collector's Edition when I noticed something: Liara's special alternate outfit? Justicar gear.

Though Samara does tell paragon Shep if he needs her she will be there...something along those lines anyway.

Either way, it's an obvious salute. Not saying she IS a Justicar, but you can't deny the resemblance.marshalleck wrote...
It's not a Justicar uniform. It's the same white uniform she's wearing in all the other ME3 screenshots, but with a repainted red texture. And a headband. Red armor and a headband hardly make one a Justicar.

But since Morinth is going to ditch the justicar look and stop pretending to be Samara when she comes back as a squadmember, someone needs to have the look............... what do you mean i'm in denial? you're in denial!
Expects the manipulative evil squad memeber to come back and not try to kill you, "Oh yes shep you can romance me I won't kill you teehee"

I can see why this alternate outfit for Liara being a homage to Samara means Samara won't be a squaddie. But I still don't see why two asari on the team is a problem.
- Commander Shepard's
team could be seen as an in-universe version, especially in the sequel.
There's only one of any species per game: Garrus, Mordin and
Liara/Samara/Morinth, representing the three most powerful non-human
species. The equivalent of token Black/Asian/Hispanic. Tali, whose
species has a weak immune system is are sort of a dispossessed race of Space Jews,
and Thane, who is suffering from a debilitating lung disease and is
polytheistic, could both qualify as either the religious minority or the
handicapped member. And Wrex/Grunt and Legion are both different kinds of Token Enemy Minority: the Krograns are the old enemy now at an uneasy peace (Like, say, Russia or Germany) and Legion is of the same species as the current enemy, but ideologically opposed to them (Such as an Iraqi member).
- Just the human squadmates are this. The first game had
Spanish-American and Malaysian, the second game had African-American,
British, Australian, Japanese and crazy biotic test subject. Okay, maybe
not that last one...

So if Ashely already got Miranda'd up, why do you need another new Miranda? ;PJayman1337 wrote...
You're probably right, and I'm glad they're doing this. Hopefully there are other alternates that have a similar look to some of the other ME2 squaddies that aren't coming back as permas, long as we don't get a new human female tied to Miranda's outfit of course. Ashley already has that covered.
