Yes, the people that made Pong undercut me.

I wanted to be the ball, not the paddles.

It's funny how you ask we take you seriously and then your rebuttals end up with "GTFO LULZ YOU'RE WRONG BRO."

Your points were valid and we could've branched into good discussions. Instead you took the aggressive route and made yourself a pariah.

I have plenty of tali-topics to bash and whine on, I dont need to do them on all my topics. Take your Tali fanbase out of MY-TOPIC.

Funny, considering the majority of your posts are usually trolling in a Tali thread.

Not one of my posts have been in a Tali thread. I stay away from threads that I don't like. hint, hint.

Btw: i'm amused by how you guys find a small typo; i meant decades not centruies and instead of answering my point choose to latch on the one flaw in my post.

Smart but not smart enough.

Decades and Centuries are two completely different words.

That's quite a typo, friend.

Where have I said that? I've answer your argument, you've just choose the passive aggressive route.

"OMG U A TROLL" Go about your business then

@kainykarr: Yes, I meant a different word from what I put. or do you honestly think I thought game companies existed for centruries. 100 years? I'm glad you guys nitpick it makes it obvious that you guys have no real points.

I was paraphrasing, but back to the topic.

I don't think it's so wrong to have high expectations as long as you keep them in check. I don't have any outlandish expectations (threesomes, shepard with super powers, shepard implanted with reaper tech, awesome new state-of-the-art RPG mechanics) and I don't expect it to be the greatest game of the century but it doesn't hurt to hope.

@King Zeel

It might help (me, at least) if you explain which areas you think they won't deliver on, and why you think they won't deliver.

Gameplay length: not my biggest concern but looking at their plate, the large array of characters, endings, romance paths, the new s/s thing we just HAD to have, and this kinect thing. I doubt the game will be that long in the short development cycle.

Plot: I want a good plot but alot of the focus is being pushed on Characters and their romances paths. there is an unhealthy obession with virtual romances with Mass effect fans and it shows. I'm not going to be surprised if Bioware bends and tries to please them over improving content

gameplay: its becoming a shooter, let's not be optimisitic here. This new heavy melee class and the "streamlining" of the gameplay. Sounds like Halo with friendly aliens.

Characters: Now I do love the characters as well and yes the romance mini-game isn't that bad, so i am a little bit concerned about how they're going to treat the characters. Looking at new designs and little tweets and stuff it seems the characters will be reduced to some bastardized version to appeal to the mainstream.

Regarding game length. This time they have fewer new tech advances to work with, and fewer changes to the core gameplay, so they should be able to develop the content much more quickly. Assuming they don't diverge the story too much, I should think we'll get the same length as ME2. I would actually rather have them diverge the story and give me a 15 hour ME3 that's unique to my savegame, but that's just me. At any rate, keep in mind that many SP games these days are like 5-7 hours long. Higher quality visuals take longer to make, yet in spite of that BW delivered a 30 hour game with ME2. The visuals might not have been groundbreaking, but they were on par with other AAA games that are less than half as long.

Plot: I have to agree that the degree to which some BW fans obsess over their LI's is really quite disturbing, but from a development perspective there is virtually no time spent on this stuff. At least, not in the games so far. It all takes place on the Normandy, which means all they have to do is write some dialogue lines, record them, and add animations. The amount of time and work is similar to any other conversation. That chat you had with the humans locked in their flat in Mordin's district? That's one romance scene's worth of work. And it's just a tiny part of that level. That should put it in perspective. Personally, I think that if anything BW could and probably should put a little more effort into romances. But anyway...

Gameplay: Yeah, it's a shooter with RPG elements. I love it. I like shooters and I like RPGs, but I like shooters with RPG elements better than either of them!

Characters: I don't follow you. What tweets?

There's something wrong when you have high expectations of a product that shows all signs of not delivering. hope hurts when it's false, thats the thing.

You're right, but we haven't seen all the signs yet. What we saw at E3 were merely snippets and, as many have pointed out, just advertising strategies to attract a bigger market. Whether you like that or not is a whole different discussion.

As more previews and news come in the months leading to launch day, maybe my opinion and expectations will change. Whether those expectations turn out for the worse or the better, we'll see. But at this point, I'm fine with what I see.
