When you say Lead designer of ME1 and ME2, don't you mean ME3 as well or do you have a different Lead Designer for ME3?
Preston is and always has been the Lead Designer of all of the ME games. Christina was the lead of the design portion of the gameplay group.

I was sad to see Christina go as she was a great coworker and a lot of fun outside the office and at conventions as well as being incredibly smart with what she did for the games she worked on. Still, love conquers all and moved on. Yes, the team was aware of this with plenty of time and Preston Watamaniuk, the Lead Designer of ME1 and ME2 is stepping in to fill Christina's shoes.

If ME3 dosen't have homosexual romances, it wil still be a great game.
If ME3 dosen't have RPG elements, it wil still be a great game. Etc
The point I'm trying to make is this; I'd love for some of these smaller feauteres to be in the game but I won't be dissapointed if aren't and I'll still enjoy ME3 regardless.
No, I'll be dissaspointed if BioWare can't do basic things (For there standards) like...
Having a satisfying conclusion.
Making as many improvments to gameplay as possible. Etc.
If BioWare can't do that I'll be very dissapointed. But I'm sure they will.

Mentioning how trivial s/s romances are is "trolling". Well, call me a troll because s/s romances are trivial and completely unnecessary.
The S/S issue is not simply about Relationships, there is a broader social issue at play there. And while I think you are a Troll, I don't believe you're a stupid person, so either you have no respect for the social implications or you are purposefully dismissing them to get people upset.
I do know that some people don't understand how important something like an S/S presence is in a triple A game, but it goes a long way toward breaking down certain boundaries in popular media and telling people that homosexuality is not something to be frightened of.
You don't like the idea that charcters, who you have a very defined image of, could be ****** or bisexual - I get that - but sometimes you have to realize that your own tastes have to give way to bigger issues. Me, I don't see some of the characters as being ****** or bisexual either, but so long as I don't go looking for that, it doesn't really effect my game. More importantly, it does make the game a lot more enjoyable for the people who would have loved to be equally represented in the previous titles but were not.
Maybe you're the type of person who begrudges others their enjoyment and good fortune - but that doesn't make that sort of behavior right.

Hey, bro. Bioware is going to do an amazing job. No worries.
Dragon Age II and Awakenings were meant to be "amazing" as well. Look what happened Awakening has been abandoned and DA2 is soon to follow with three on the way. That said Mass effect has yet to fail me. But I will not blindly believe it will be foolproof. I will hope however.

Even more so because there are certainly things Bioware could do that could potentially send every user here into a frenzy. Everyone has their "hot button" issue, likes and dislikes. Many of the folks here are contented with the games so when anyone suggests any changes to them they tend to attack them as they feel they may be jeopardizing their "future fun". My biggest annoyance with BSN in general is the utter lack of any attempts at compromise, which really is the only good way to settle things. But nope, instead it's always the same deal with everyone digging their trench lines and then labeling others as "trolls" or "fanboys". Although really trolls and fanboys are the exact same thing, they just have different goals. I just happen to be a bit of both it seems.
Although admittedly OP you do seem to be stoking those flames. I share some of your resentments, but if you're going to be belligerent about it then you're on your own. I'm much more inclined to take sides with people who at least appear somewhat tactful and earnest in their arguements even if they oppose my own. Though I can't pretend I don't fly off the handle at times.
But I am tired and Boo thinks I'm just being ducky.

Exactly how I feel, the one thing I see as a good sign is, that right after the first wave of negative feedback for DA2 came, they pushed the release date. I hope that means they're trying to do it right and to make sure they don't do the same mistakes.
I even see it as a good sign that they pushed the date at all. Something Biwoare should have done with DA2...

If your expectations are low based on a bunch of trailers and some goofy marketing then maybe you will be surprised, but if they are high based on what you expect an rpg to be or how you think character development should affect the story, then you are going to be disappointed no matter whether it is technically a good game or not or whether other people love the game or not.
I'm not giving Bioware my undying trust but also I’m not willing to crystal ball gaze. I’ll just return to Laidbackistan and just wait and see.
And just on another note, King Zeel, you seem to be on this slippery slope where a lot of what you say (in a lot of your posts here and outside this thread) is coming off as "I don't like what you like, ergo, you suck."
So perhaps you can back off a little, don't be so aggressive, and people might stop calling you a troll and take what you say a little more seriously.

My response was really just a play on the OP's gripe lol...
But I do think some people worry too much. Different dev team from the DA team should be the first shining example of why one shouldn't overworry. I think the Casey and the ME dev team also made it abundantly clear at E3 that ME3 is going to have the best of both worlds from ME1 and ME2, such as improved combat AND much better/more RPG aspects than ME2.
In the end, the ME dev team knows what it's doing. They don't get paid to fail the fans. And also, it's just a game. One that I am looking forward to maybe more so than any other game I ever anticipated, but again, it's a game. People shouldn't over think it/overworry about it.

Of course we don't expect that all our demands and wishes will be fullfilled. It is impossible to make everyone happy. But by demanding and more importantly only pay for quality we get overall better products.
And before anyone trolls me, yes I think that the BioWare games I have played was well worth my money. I hope that this will continue but I know that no one is perfect so if the quality drops I will be less motivated to give them my money. No doubt BioWare and EA knows this too.
