@CaseyDHudson Is Tali a permanent squadmember in ME3?
@CaseyDHudson.@kainryckarr Tali will be able to join your team, but nothing's permanent in #ME3 - it's a story of full-scale war, with lots of twists.
I saw this on twitter. So no squad member is permanent? OMG this might mean squadies die in the middle of the game? What about the once earlier confirmed to be permanent?
 Also this is a general character thread. So don't start to argue who is the best and what you hate.
Site rule breakers will be reported!:police:

...and now I'm thinking that means that no one is permanent except the VS and Vega, since they have no plot ties to any planet than the one they're about to beam you up Scotty from.

I will be pissed.

It's actually the best way for them to handle the situation.....

Liara too I think. Wouldn't be surprised if these 3 (Vega, VS, Liara) were indeed the "most" permanent and everyone else to a lesser extent, considering all the SM variables

The migrant fleet could be attacked halfway through the game. Tali goes back to help clear up the mess, and could possibly rejoin you depending on her loyalty/romance sidequest/ect. Or you could even choose who comes back on your squad, since we have limited space.

Actually, that makes me rather happy. As long as it applies to everyone. If Vega/Liara/VS is stuck with me no matter what, I'll be less than thrilled.

I don't think they mean characters spontaneously die, I think they mean more like squadmates temporarily leaving/becoming unavailable, then re-appearing and becoming available then later.

That sort of thing.

He said no one is permenant, and I think I saw some other div say the same. So maybe SM have to go to resolve othe issues. Galactic war is too much for Shepard alone. They might return to the team after a time.

There'll also be some new characters, don't forget.

That's what I think. Availability of certain squadmates changes throughout the game, Tali leaves for the fleet for a bit, comes back for "Act III", that sort of thing.

Do it. Definitely on board for non permanent Tali.

Or perhaps she or some other character(s) die in the middle or 2/3 of the game... Also possible considering it the finale...

Does that mean we will have Legion as squadmate?

To clarify he meant all squad members. Not just Tali.

You and everyone else who forgot to toggle safe search.

Seriously, though, it's the uncertainty that sounds fun--I honestly feel like they're going to really drive home the whole galactic apocalypse thing.

I am guessing squad select screen will be deferent. It might change from time to time showing deferent team members available for missions.

I seriously doubt specific characters will be killed off without influence from the player's decisions.

How many squadmates in Bioware games died without the player having some kind of say in who, how, when, or if?

There'll be an ending with Tali and Shep alive, i wouldn't sweat it.

Soooooo.... your old friends will be dropping in and out of your party?

I guess that makes sense, since the roster is so huge and they probably want to give all of the characters equal screentime....

Definitely rooting that Liara go back to Hagalaz more often, instead of swimming in Shepard's brain all through ME3....

But I hope the Virmire Survivor sticks around for most of ME3.

I don't think people will suddenly die. If they do we'll have options to save them. Remember this is Mass Effect. We always have a choice :P

I'm fine if Tali is temporarily unavailable for part of the game, as long as I get an ending with her and Shep alive(which is pretty likely for all LI's).

Precisely. I'm actually having trouble thinking back to previous BW games, to when squadmates died without the player having any kind of say in it, and I'm drawing a blank.

Closest I can think of is virmire, and even then you could still at least choose who.

Definitely hope you can satisfy certain requirements and keep certain squaddies on 100% of the time.

And ignore Zeel, he's been confirmed trollin' many a time.

I am sure any LI will be alive at the end of the game because they said there will be a conclusion to the romances.
