Hmm... a Mass Effect game with non-permanant squad members? It sounds promising, most definetly, and as we have all read or heard, our choices from 1 and 2 will have more gigantic revalations then before.
As an example (I'm just guessing here), say Shepard rescued Ashley instead of Kaiden in ME1. Ashley is a brilliant frontline soldier but perhaps not your best choice for a spacefight. Whereas Kaiden, who has experience in that area, would be.
The default setting in ME3 would probably be so bad that you need to play ME1 and 2 in order to have access to every possible squad member. The roster may be larger but the selections limited, like only being able to use Grunt on Tuchanka.

Well, Bioware haz disappointed AGAIN. However, there are about a total of...three good things from those spoilers.
My reaction to having the VS on my crew again.
My threat to BW when I heard that Thane, Jack and Miranda were to be given tiny, bullsh*t roles.
Me when I heard that Liara, Tali and Garrus were going to be shoved down our throats again in ME3, and that Legion will unavoidably die due to Tali from the spoilers

And I seriously don't get those (incomplete, mind you) files and the (crappy) writing within. They give Miranda so much plot armor in ME2 only to give her a crap LoTSB style mission in ME3? Jack as a cameo? Grunt and Thane go MIA? And Tali becomes an admiral?
