but no I think he reused the word permanent to describe no non linear ME3 is...reread what he said:

"Tali will be able to join your team, but nothing's permanent in #ME3 - it's a story of full-scale war, with lots of twists."

Could be wrong though

I retract my former statement about being pissed. I'll only be pissed if they can't reasonably justify it. No need for a five minute soliloquy about why Grunt can't follow his battlemaster, but different squaddies have different levels of attachment to the world outside, well, Shepard. I.E. Jacob rejoining the Alliance to lead some troops makes sense. Jacob just chilling in some facility on Eden Prime, not so much.

This latest tweet does indeed does contradict what Casey's been saying earlier. And he actually did use word 'permanent' just a month ago:

Perhaps. For now I'm gonna still assume there will be some characters that will be in at least 90% or so of the game as squaddies - VS, Liara, Vega. The rest (SM + Wrex) will be temprorary to a smaller or bigger extenct or not playable at all, but still with more dialogues than your standard NPC.

I think Tali and Garrus will be there most of the time. Because they are the most popular(if I am not mistaken) it will be stupid not to do so.

I would be so frustrated and my Mshep would be an alcoholic on they months between visits if Tali was a PT crewmember throughout 3 (Fshep deals better but misses her bff) .I can't have team dextro when she or Garrus is gone half the time or not on my team at the same time and considering I take them everywhere it would be terrible!

I don't mind if they did like they did in 2 where Tali was/is busy for a bit but then decides to join up FT. Though I hope her time away is brief if BW takes her away from me. I don't know having her and Garrus on board is such a stabilizing factor but if it's only one or the other it's unbalanced. I need both to stay sane BW!

These two characters are so well crafted it's not the Normandy w/o them and if only one is there it's still only half a home.


EDIT: Just saw the potential stuck with FT Miranda post. If that's so BW give me the option to charge her with being a cylon and allow me to airlock her! No more Miranda for my XO let me pick please I can't take another round with her! Down with the watch dog!
