I want her and Shepard to have a happy ending. Getting married etc.. Having been faithfull to her throughout ME2 and been patiently waiting for her return it would be a slap in the face if she isn't permanent in ME3.

Everyone want this with their favorite character. So I hope Bioware can do everyone some justice.tomas2377 wrote...

And only way to do that would be to have everyone non permanent. It's all or nothing.

Really? I haven't had Ashley in my squad since 2008. Would feel good having her stay for awhile.
PS. Please don't take this wrong, but you avatar is annoying as hell:P

Well still I don't want to have VS in my squad as the only permanent. I want my Miri and if that means I can't have her, then no one should have theirs.
And I luv my avvie, she's here to stay. :innocent:

And I have hard time believing 'your Miri' is a full time squadmate, 'cause of what Casey told us. But I don't think that's gonna stop you. *wink*

It could mean anything, really. And as long as I can decide, who's with me and who's not, I'm okay with that.
Also, Yvo avatars are the best. Fact.

''It's all or nothing.''
No permanent squadmates or all as permanent. It's as simple as that.

If its just simply we don't get them all right in the beginning or they could potentially die, that's a different story. And if we got to pick for limited squadslots that would actually be very nifty.
But I refuse to base my buying decisions based on a single tweet. Need more info.

Then again, so long as there are compelling reasons for your squadmates being absent, rather than helping Shepard fight Reapers, it's okay. Reasons like "Sorry Shep, I'm obsessively hunting for the single most difficult to locate person in the galaxy. Come see me later!" are not okay.

And I don't mind the possibility of characters dying mid game or dying at all as long as it's not scripted as being unchangeable. I'd like for that all to based on decisions you've made, not some horribly frustrating badly written "Hawke's Mother" situation like in DA2.
@cake - as for not knowing those squad members, ME3 might be a good place for you to get to know them. You could end up loving them. I get where you're coming from though. You're more attached to the ME2 folks naturally so I understand why you would rather them be permanent over Ashley, Kaidan or Liara.

This so much. Bioware, please don't force her on me.

Garrus might be the same way, training new recruits for battle or working on the ships weapons. IMO it would work better from a story perspective if they weren't present on the ship when they aren't accessible to your team. But stranger things have happened...
Anyway, I think any survivors of the SM will most def have a strong presence in the game, but I doubt it'll be extremely game changing. Heck if NO one survived the SM, then I bet it just means your Mass Effect 3 game will be a whole lot shorter(no side missions with those people). In the end, I'm hoping we'll be too focused on the next objective to worry about who is in your 3 man squad. And also, for people hoping to improve their LI, enough ability to.
Also, it could be like LOTSB where you have to travel to a planet to talk with your LI. Maybe Tali is terraforming the new Quarian home world? Garrus is working on the Citadel with C-Sec again on the Citadel... Thane's... killing things on... some Hanar home world? Could just be a click away to go visit them.

No one will be available for all mission but the once who were earlier confirmed as permanent(VS, Garrus, Tali, Liara, James) will get a bigger roll. They will be there on the Normandy for the most part. In some missions you have to allocate squad members for deferent tasks like in the Suicide Mission(we saw Legion pilot a ship at some point). Others who are not confirmed might be available for some missions but will not be onboard the Normandy all the time.

2. I'll stop commenting since I haven't watched any of the trailers and thus can't guess on what would happen.

Because they said the romances will have a conclusion, we can assume that all the LIs will be onboard the Normandy or somewhere suitable for shepard to hang out with them.Melrache wrote...
If my only ''permies'' will be Kaidan, Liara, Garrus and some random dude, then I'll be too disappointed to buy it. I don't want to spend time with Liara, Kaidan is awesome, but if having him and those two turn my LI into a mere ''Liara LOTSB v2.0'' I don't want it. I want to decide who I have deeper relationships and sadly the list, that is being thrown around at the moment, only has one of those people on it. Miranda is what got me into these games in the first place, the in appropriate treatment of her character (in my opinion) will be the reason why I'd not buy the next one.

I mean come on! VS being permanent in two games, but not Miwi? How's that fair? *wink wink*
Well, for one thing the only lines the VS were given in ME2 were of rejecting Shep, and an optional e-mail.
Garrus, Tali and Liara though...
*Shakes fist*
EDIT: Oh yeah, there's also the "Squadmates not working the same way" thing.

Just make sure they die in the suicide mission in ME2 if you're worried about it! ;]
