I got a strane email from what appears to be Bioware.
Senders calls himself:
Aaryn Flynn GM BioWare Edmonton
We recently learned that hackers gained unauthorized access to the decade-old BioWare server system supporting the Neverwinter Nights forums. We immediately took appropriate steps to protect our consumers’ data and launched a thorough ongoing evaluation of the breach. We have determined that no credit card data was compromised from the servers, nor did we ever have or store sensitive data like social security numbers. Our investigation shows that information such as user names, encrypted passwords, email addresses, mailing addresses, names, phone numbers, CD keys and birth dates from these forum accounts on the system may have been compromised, as well as other information (if any) that you may have associated with your EA Account. In an abundance of caution, we have changed your password to ensure account security. Please visit this..... bla bla bla.
My password has not been changed etc etc so whats up with this?
Normaly my filters get these kinda emails and warnings pop up all over.
Or is it actually genuine.
Don't know where to post this. Strange Email!

Its legit apprently. Its also been discussed in this thread, as well as the tech support forums.
Its currently a catch-22, where you have to balance out your desire for security against EA's inability to handle the workload they generated when that email went out.

It's legit, in fact I had my password automatically reset, even if I changed it a few days ago after reading about that

I don't think the sender name and subject line was done very well. Whenever somebody claims to be a ''GM'' in a mail, it screams ''scam'' to be. Probably because of WoW.
