Having trouble with creating album

I've been trying to create an album to upload images to, however after I have created the album and uploaded the images there is nothing visible, there is only a black image instead of my photos.
Anyone have suggestions? It's very possible that I just did something wrong being new to the site and all so I'd appreciate helpful comments. Thanks.
