Ever since I installed DA2 back when it came out, whenever I launch Mass Effect 2, before I even get to the main menu, I get an error message that says
Error
Communication with the Mass Effect 2 server was interrupted or has timed out. Please try again later.
And below that an "Ok" button that when clicked takes me back to the main menu. This is because the Cerberus Network doesn't remember my email and password. Before this issue, when I would launch ME2 I would automatically be signed in and connected to the Cerberus Network but now every time I start ME2 up I get the message. After clicking "OK" I click on the "connect" button for Cerberus Network and I just put in my login info and connect without any problems. Sure I can just keep doing this, but frankly its rather irritating because every single time I launch ME2 I get the error message before I can even get to the menu, and this never used to happen before I got DA2. In fact, a similar thing happens with DA: Origins since installing DA2, Origins no longer remembers my password (it still remembers the email address though) and thus the auto-login fails on that too and the first thing that pops up is a login failure message, but since this is the ME2 forum, I'll get back to that.
I never posted about this before because I figured maybe there was an issue with EA servers or something that just needed to be fixed, but this problem has never gone away and I'm rather tired of it. And yes, I have the option to connect automatically set to "Yes" (and though this isn't the DA forums, its the same for Origins)
The only thing I can think of is that DA2 somehow broke the login for my other Bioware games, and I have considered uninstalling it (because frankly it's not nearly as good as the ME series or Origins) but that really isn't an ideal solution.
Any help here would be really great. Thanks
Auto-login broken?

All we can advise you is to login manually, every time. If you want it fixed, speak to EA. They provide the official tech support for the gamem, and thus will only allocate resources to fixing the error when they have recived enough complaints via official channels.

I also have the same issue, but it has only begun recently. I have Dragon Age 2, but I swear that I have logged in automatically to ME2 after getting DA2. I think it might have something to do with the hacking attempt against Bioware and the resetting of all the EA account passwords, since it only began after that.

I second that thought as that's my experience of it. Have had to manually log in since the password reset.

Nothing to do with the hacking attempt. The hacking happened 2 weeks ago, this error has been around since the time Arrival was released.
type the following strnig into google, and you will see the amout oof times this question has been asked, and the various attempts we have gone through to fix it
communication timeout site:social.bioware.com
If you want it fixed, then all I can suggest is you contact EA support and get a support ticket raised for the fault, as they will only rectify this problem once they have received sufficient complaints, and complaints on these forums do not count.

Hmm...perhaps we could get a URL link running on the top of the page (in one of the FAQ's) where we can all just click it and request a fix? That seems like A. The easiest way for people to do it (just click and spend a minute typing) and B. The fastest way to get this fixed.

Fixed the issue by altering EACore_App.ini (in Mass Effect 2\\Binaries) - changed ServerIdleAutoShutdown_ms from 15000 to 45000, no more "interrupted or has timed out" message.
UPD: Sorry, not fixed, the message is back.

I always click ok and than just start my game. To me it seems it doesn't matter if your connected or not, you still can play with all your dlc and without any problems.

There is a very long thread about this with many attempts to solve the problem on the tech side: http://social.biowar...6/index/807983/
What solved it for me was to make sure my password was correct. At first I didn't realize it, but with the forum hacks and EA Origin coming up I had changed my password for the account, but not in game. Now for some odd reason the autologin with a wrong password gives you a connection error message (both in ME2 and DA2). I adapted my passwords in the autologin and it works like a charm.
