I just tried logging into my account, but got the message "invalid password".
I have been using my old hotmail adress to log into BW-social. An account I haven't been using for years and have no login access to anymore (probably deletes the account when it's no longer in active use). This has never been a problem before, and so it wasn't on my mind to change that situation.
But now, it seems that I'm royally screwed by this, since all my games and dlc are registered there. I gather that the apparent server intruder is behind this?
I would be grateful for any assistance in this matter, namely restoring my account named "Rompa87"

I think I have just experienced the same problem, with this very account. Changed all my passwords about 16 hours ago as well, and now none seem to be working anymore: I only got back on the e-mail account connected to this account thanks to that secret question stuff.
I think I'm getting sick of every goddamn site getting hacked in 2011. Bloody hackers...

Yeah, that secret question thing is no longer an option, I'm afraid. The restoration of my old hotmail is unavailable due to too many erroneous "secret question" attempts
Thing is, I have all my Cd-Key and dlc codes, so I can verify that I'm really the one who owns the games. But since Bioware has chosen the path of forcing me to be logged in whenever I want to play a friggin game of theirs, someone else might be enjoying the fruits of my labour.
Am I in the wrong here? Did I make a mistake? Why should I be punished for the acts of criminals?
Woe is me, indeed

Same here... But I got an email from bioware that let me reset my PW. I didn't check my email until today and I just now heard about the recent hackings.
My account was compromised, no doubt about it, I just don't know how much information was stolen. I noticed this morning when I couldn't log into Cerberus network.
Couldn't log into the forms either, so I logged back into ME2 and clicked the option to send me the PW or w/e - then I checked my email and I had a few that were a few days old and one was from bioware supporting explaining the hacking situation and a link to reset the PW.

Well, you had the fortune of actually having access to the e-mail account linked to your login on this site. I, however, am not as fortunate

I feel your pain.
What really bothers me, though, is that I didn't have any of these problems until AFTER I changed my passwords. That would lead me to conclude that they actually had access to the EA servers sometime in those 16-ish hours yesterday, and perhaps still may... I mean, I can't otherwise explain why my hotmail account, whose pass I believe I changed to to exact same thing (at least for the time being) was also compromised.
If it has to be like this, I don't think I like the internet anymore. I doubt EA is too happy about this either, though, what with their Origin-thingy having just been revealed. I honestly wouldn't be surprised if that was the intent of this attack, though.

I don't know, if any of your problems are related to this, but I changed my password as well and wasn't able to access my Bioware social account.
After messing around a little (and getting an extremely unhelpful support message from EA) I found out, that the EA account allows special characters in your password, but the Bioware social character, which uses the same password, doesn't.
So, if you can access your EA account, but not your Bioware social account and you have special characters in your password, then this might be your problem.

No special characters in my password. Just letters and numbers. Do any BW/EA staff frequent these support forums? Or is it just a notice board for site-related news?

I'm going to try and bump this in the faint hope of someone knowledgable might stumble over it. Maybe even an employee?
