Weren't they one of the first people to get frozen by the paralyzing bugs? Were the Collectors to lazy to pick them up or something?

Especially since Tim confirms the Collectors chose the planet because of the VS presence and to see if it would be selected because they are after Shepard. I would think the first thing they would go after would be the reason why they selected the colony in the first place.

Guess they kind of forgot

If they didn't and intended the VS to survive altered then it would be a plot twist that the VS romance fans wouldn't like. :P

600 000 people live on that planet.

Kinda hard to find one person.

Except for the fact Harbinger is standing right above Lillith and Kaidan is about 30ft behind her. Exactly where all those Collectors are walking past

Oops missed him

^It seemed like more then 30 meters to me.

She was running for some time and that mechanic still had a lot of time seeing her get paralyzed by Seeker Swarm and not get himself caught too.

Also we saw a lot of people still no picked up near that area where she was taken.

The collecting was somewhat interupted by Shepard entrance. Things have a tendency of ending in fubar, chaos, death and everything exploding when Shepard comes to visit.

But the VS was 30 BLOODY METERS from Harbinger and they hit that planet because the VS was on it. Wouldn't they notice him/her and pick him/her up since they used to be a part of Shepards squad and because that's the whole reason they picked that planet?

They seemed to have been frozen near the landing zone sense they so casually walk up to shep after the ship flees. Them being missed is a huge loop hole some could claim movie magic but would the reapers really want to let the former shep crewmate potentially turned spector go? I mean they could kill two birds with one stone on that one say fu to the council by compromising one of their men and get shep to come after them.

Maybe the policy for the collection is land go way out from the ship and collect backwards but that collection policy is backwards! You should land, collect whats closest to you then fan out from there. Unless they're uber stupid or uber confident and equal parts arrogant.

VS should've been Horizon collected somethings up.

EDIT: VS was also too calm after going through all that. In ME Ash runs and meets up with shep she is shaken, out of breathe, and scared on Horizion she acts like she's just strolling through the park and says Shep's so great he's a god (cringe). Kaiden was shaken up over the loss of Jenkins and is upset over Ash's death if you choose him yet he walks out all cool like he's going to get the mail and says Sheps a hero ummm 90% of the colony you were suppose to be looking out for just got put on a ship dude.

Shepard is a god because he is back from the dead, remember your crew saw you spaced.......

The collectors have no reason to hurry or even worry about getting everyone all at once. They have never been stopped, and have more firepower than most ships around. The planet/area is locked down so why rush and why spend a bunch of time identifying or looking for one person when you have the ENTIRE COLONY in the bag? When Shepard shows it throws the whole operation off, and please remember loading a couple hundred thousand people isn't going to happen instantly, and no telling how long it took Shepard to get there after everyone is frozen.

I know why she said it mcsupersport I hated being called a god shep is not a god but a man though I'll so take the hero title if I've got to choose I'd prefer no title other then Commander.

Fire power what fire power? Once the thing is sitting there the guns are turned towards the sky there is no fire power or else it would've directed it's guns at the colony defense grid.

Also if they were that slow shouldn't someone from past colonies been able to have been dispatched to look into the lack of communication and still found the collectors taking people into the ship? Just how much time would they need for a small colony with little defense? They only hit small ones they avoided large ones.

People who were only few meters from Harbinger weren't collected.

Horizon by the wikki has 654,930 people. So yeah, I think it might take them a bit to collect everyone. The game really doesn't show the size of the colony well, it looks more like a first generation farming community that has a few thousand people, but lore wise and all that isn't the case. So with so many people to collect, I don't find it odd that one person out of roughly 300,000 who didn't get collected is the VS survivor. It looked like the area right before the locked door to the guy hiding out, so there were others there not collected.

Beside... it's rather HARD to miss in crowd of civilians someone who wear bright white/red heavy Phoenx Armor (when comes to Ash) and who''s "solid" frozen almost next to Harby' drone... o_O

He's in armor too, so heavir, not so easy to process etc. So one of the last pick-ups is the way I see it.

Everyone else who was missed on Horizon is still frozen, as well (except for the unnoticed guy); As the unnoticed guy hid in a garage, and the VS was shooting at swarms of thousands of insects, it'd make sense that the VS would still be frozen outside, if not on the ship (they should be a priority to go on first if they're the whole reason for hitting the place).

Only reasonable explanation would be very, very bad news for VS fans.

The only reasonable explanation i can think of, is that shepard somehow interrupted the collectors, so perhaps they were already carrying the body but abandoned it along with others to pull the ship from the AA guns fire. You know it is better to have a few colonists that get greedy and lose the whole ship.

We can imagine that the paralizing effect of the seeker swarms is only short-term, as the purpose is to put the human inside the pod to be carried away then (this is seen in freedom progress). Ashley/Kaidan would recover from the paralysis after a few minutes (we assume the whole fight) and get up to see what is going on.

Of course it would be easier if bioware had given an actual reason, instead of not mentioning it. Anyway i think that the fact the virmire survivor was not taken away is not something unbelievable, but it required some kind of explanation that the game simply did not provide.
