Face model for Female Shepard

Not because I dont like any of this girls. Some a really attractive. Its just everyone has their own personal preferences. Plus these threads are just an excuse to post pictures of peoples favourite models. Some having not much context.
Anyway according from tweets from David Silverman and a post from Chris Priestly it looks like the default femshep is being reworked. They wont use a face model. To be honest it doesnt sound like they will stray to much from default Jane. Although to begin with I think they did want to start from the ground up again.
Theres a recent thread on this here: http://social.biowar...3/index/7672815

I like the default, personally. It just needs some high-res textures like Sheploo and a couple mesh tweaks. A lot of people complain that the default femshep is just another custom face when that isn't true. It is impossible to create an identical copy of it using the character creator. If you pay attention, as soon as you hit "custom appearance" the face is altered significantly.

Preferences are great, but the default Sheploo face achieves a level of detail simply unattainable with a custom face. Why shouldn't a similar option exist for femShep? If the new default is not to your taste... like Sheploo is not to my taste... bite the bullet and go custom.

Actually Skaldfish did a really good post about the proportions of default Jane being slightly off. I forwarded it onto David who took note of it. Which is great especially if tthey only intend now to redo her proportions and textures.

I recommend you have a look because it explains the context and how he got the measurements why he believes it disproportionate. Its actually really good post.

Sure Palin Shepard can intimidate! All she needs to do is use her sexy stare! Like this, do you think this is not intimidating?:

True. But the default still looks like garbage. Objectively, it doesn't hold a candle to the quality of Sheploo. This might change if the new default is based on a model.

I do agree that the proportions are slightly off on the default. (of course, humans rarely have symetrical, perfectly proportioned faces) I disagree that his modified version is better, though, especially when compared side-by-side with the original.Captain Crash wrote...

If your talking about her actual facial structure, then I would have to question your taste. She only looks like "garbage" to someone with the same taste in women as the average 12-year-old.

Indeed, its still taste. I think the point was that her features are slightly disproportionate thus why she recieves such a mixed reaction. It is good that its been taken note of and that it will be reworked at least.
Having a face model isnt really needed at all. Provided you get a facial structure that works.

Anyways I'd nerdgasm if BioWare managed to get this lovely lady as FemShep's face model, If they rejuvenated Mark Vanderloo I'd say the can do it with Mrs. Weaver too, it would also be a fine nod to all sci-fi fans out there, although the cost would be way too high I assume.

Sheploo looks more real in the ME3 demos. Here's hoping that jump in quality is applied across the board.

This is a good suggestion. Strong enough jaw to be a badass, vague in ethnicity, and good looking.
My first thought was Gina Carano actually, but I didn't find a good pic. And I've been watching Supernatural recently, so the Ruby character reminded me of Gina and found a decent pic of the actress.
So here's a decent one of Gina:
Edit: fixing link.
yes,yes,YES!......i love ginna carano, she is such a bad ass(mma fighter),and good looking at the same time, would make an amazing femshep:O

Hmmm... That might have something to do with the way the face animates.(and, of course, textures) Not sure about that, though.who would know wrote...
VirtualStranger- It's not about taste. The main endeavor should be to get the face looking real and plausible. Human. I'm not feeling that as is.

It looks plenty human to me. Better than about 95% of all of the custom faces I see online, at least. I don't understand why people insist on making their Shepards look like washed-up former pornstars. And that blush slider, god I hate that. It looks awful.
EDIT: Seriously, people. Delete Images when you quote someone else's post.

Yeah, the blush is bad. When I imported Natalie from ME1, the blush was suddenly so severe in ME2, but I couldn't be bothered recreating it all from scratch just to get the makeup off. The makeup was a desperate attempt to capture some of Ashley's natural beauty, but take a swing at Natalie if you like. More real or what?
Anyway. I get you. I don't want a Barbie.

As for yours... it's okay. Not better than the default, but not bad. The makeup desperately needs to go, though. The only makeup I use is the eye shadow, because her eyelids look odd whenever you put the slider all the way to the left.
