The council is going to need a little bit more proof than huge starships invading numerous worlds throughout the galaxy at the same time to agree that there is a Reaper threat. How do they know it's not just a lot of newly bult Geth ships like Sovereign? No, they need hard proof. And Shepard's mind is too fragile as it is to trust anything he says. They have already dismissed the rediculous claim of "Reapers" through their top-notch Citadel investigation. Shoo, delusional Shepard, shoo.

You see....yes, the council might be annoying...but if I hated an entire people due to the few individuals who represented them, I'd have an intense dislike for much of my own nation. I dislike the council, but I have no problems with the Asari, Salarians, and Turians as a whole. I support working with the council races....and if that means working with the council members themselves, so be it.

Even if a Reaper lands right next to them, they still won't believe a word of what you're saying. Even if a Reaper nearly destroyed the Citadel they still won't believe you. I have given up on them a long time ago, no council should be run by such dimwits.

My Shepard will call them idiots and then help them. Why? Because he doesn't want all advanced organic life in the galaxy to perish just because he has a bone to pick with petty fools.

This. Stupid if you dont really.

Don't know what Council has to do with this?

Council's are just bureaucrats, they don't have any meaning it self, it's the idea behind them what matters.
Meaning you don't support council because some induviduals in council. It doesn't matter are council induviduals  total idiots or smartest induviduals in hole universe, it's idea behind what you support, not induvidual behavior.

If Shepard is so pitiful that will judge hole organisations based personal relation of Shepard and organisations leaders, then Shepard gonna have hard time to make any real meaninful decissions, what aren't based anyting else than personal chemistry of peoples.

Because leaders are just front of larger group of "people".

I saved them in ME1 for the sole purpose of being able to rub it in their faces when the Reapers come, and to make them owe me without a doubt. That debt will be called in along with a I ****ing told you so when I go over there to tell the Turian councilor to **** off.

I won't be helping them, they will be helping me and only because it's better to have them and not need them, than need them and not have them.

Well now do you think that Reapers are "Imaginary" And that I'm "Crazy" or "Fooled" I think your the one who was "Fooled" by your own stuipidity and arogance thinking you are the smartest most "Cleaver" race in the galaxy. And now has hopefully not doomed us all because of it.....

Of course that is one way to do it however as people in this thread have already suggested the "Ah yes,"Reapers"" response would be oh so much sweeter and say so much more than your response ever could.

Turian Councilor: "Shepard we need your help, Reapers are attacking the citadel and all our major settlements"

Shepard: "Ah yes "Reapers""

If the Councilors have half the integrity God gave a stray dog, they will commit seppuku the moment the first Reaper drops out of FTL in ME3.

In ME1, aside from the Turian, I at least felt like they respected me, and I could understand their need for hard evidence before mobilizing their entire armada in some direction I could not specify to fight some threat I could not prove.

Fast forward two years to ME2. The corpse of a Reaper is strewn about the Citadel, a thousand human lives were snuffed out in order to save some countless number of Aliens, and I am considered a hero around the galaxy many times over. They could, at very least, entertain the idea that maybe I know what I'm talking about given everything I've sacrificed. Instead I have all three of them taking potshots at calling me an idiot, and then telling me to 'keep out of trouble' like I'm some kind of juvenile.

The Council better hope that the next time they are about to get OBLITERATED they are on a ship with thousands of other innocents, because I am not going out of my way to save three incompetent idiots again.

The asari and salarian councillors were actually reasonable (at least in ME1) given that you routinely had very little evidence for your claims. However, in ME2 they seemed to have been impatient enough/scared enough to pass it off as a myth. Therefore, as a result, if they grovel enough, I will forgive them, but stop listening to them. However, if possible, I will release a video to the extranet splicing together the Reaper attack on Earth and "Ah yes, Reapers" to smear the turian councillor, who was unprofessionally antagonistic from start to finish and deserves to be taken down a notch (or twelve depending on the repercussions of the video)

I'd 'embrace' Tevos(Asari Councilor) wholeheartedly.

The Turian Councilor would receive a shot to the nads.

The Salarian Coucilor would get back handed.

I'd tell Anderson to step down and that I'd be calling the shots for humanity now.

I will publicly humiliate them to a degree that ensures they will lose their jobs, assuming the Reapers don't kill us all.

The Salarian Councilor seemed pretty reasonable, all things considered.

But yeah, the other two, they have another thing coming, as does Udina.

So much hatred for the Council. Well, I for one gave them the "BotD", so I'm just waiting for them to screw me over! My Shepard, though diplomatic about it, is not stupid! If it is "a calculated risk," she's glad to have taken it!! But then it won't be her who's at risk!!

I would like to pimp slap the turian councilor with my cane and then help them. Otherwise all the human lives that I sacrificed to save them would be for naught.
