As much as I don't want to hear the answer I have to know. Is she really a spectre? has this been confirmed cause if so that is STUPID. 

There's a screenie where she's wearing the Spectre logo on her shoulder. I doubt the Spectres look kindly on those wearing their logos while not being one of them. 

Slowly lossing faith in this game... Who thought it was a good idea to make them spectres? Aside from the F-ing fan base.

I think Bioware should at least get past the rubber flesh and frozen hair first. Long hair even on women looks like ass if it doesn't animate according to physics.

why would it be a problem for guys to have long hair?? it wouldn't because you can put your hair up and keep it out of the way just as well as anyone else.

I agree with the whole Miltary thing in that thats a big nono. but not imposable.

Then, I'm hoping that skin can be improved and that hair can be properly animated in ME3.

Shepard's not in the military anymore. 

As for the military does the alliance forbid long hair? Ash's hair seems to be fine. (Though she like Shepard is a Spectre so it probably doesn't apply for either of them). 

Shepard may not be in he military any more depending on your choices, but if you're ever been around any career military veterans, very few things from their time of service change when it comes to their appearance.  Men very rarely grow their hair out again after keeping it short in the military for however many years.

Sure, that's a great rationale if you're playing some random guy in the ME universe. But you're not. You're playing a veteran military spec ops guy who is not supposed to be a carbon copy of the person playing him.

Also for hair, I don't really care for longer hair styles. But what the heck, throw in some crazy hairstyles in there. Heck US special forces Delta Force have beards and long hair.

Of course they do--they wear their hair and beards like that to fit in with the local population. 

Maybe if part of ME3 is about Shepard mobilizing warlords in the Middle East against terrorist networks, he can have long hair and a beard.

I didn't say I wanted my Shep to have long hair or support their being an option for long hair. Honestly I agree with everyone else on the ex military thought process. I think it would look weird for Shep to have long hair. However, not my badass Elf warden.
