Why is it Shepard's responsibility to make anything better? He or she will presumably save the galaxy from the Reapers. Consider any debts settled, yeah?

Besides. Omega's a good place to make a living if you've got the quads for it, as are all lawless frontiers.

When did I say it was Shep's responsibility to make anything better?

Right. I will never see the appeal in living in a crime ridden city.

Post-game? I dunno, like I said, one of my Shep's would consider. Yeah, some people might want retirement. But some have a very Garrus-like outlook on life. Samara mentions coming to Omega and helping people. Shepard would just be taking it to the next step. Omega would be a worthy challenge to some. *kanyeshrug*

True. As long as I don't have to deal with the pisshole I don't care. That place is a garbage dump in my Sheps view. And even if he fixed it all (and that's just a massive headach waiting to happen) the crime and crap would just move somewhere else. Not to mention there are plenty species on that craphole that will outlive Shepard several times over. (Like Aria herself if sheisn't killed.). Just sounds like a pointless endeavor. Even Aria only got where she was after centuries of work and alliances.

Well, you said taking out Cerberus would be something Shepard could actually make "better." And I'm just saying that's not Shepard's responsibility at all, especially after saving the galaxy.

And the point of living in a city with no rules is you get to make your own rules, assuming you're strong enough. Certainly it's not a place for Paragons. I'm sure the Citadel Council could put together a nice comfortable little kennel for Paragon Shep. :D

Seedy and dirty as it may be, Omega is a significant economic hub. Renegade Sheps could easily be set up for life there--or at least long enough to be able to retire anywhere in the galaxy when and where ever they should choose to do so.

Better can mean a whole lot of things. Like not being as ludcuriously ineffectual as it is now. Better =! good guys.

And I never said it was. Just like it's not his responsibility to go to a pisshole and start rocking the boat.

Oh sure but strength can only get one so far. You also need contacts, loyalty, and street smarts. Things that Shepard will not automatically have. Especially not if he's trying to overtake Aria.

...Was the jab necessary? Not wanting to live in chaos doesn't make one weak. It means they don't want to live in Chaos. I have plenty of renegades who wouldn't go on Omega unless they had business. The place is trash to them. And there's plenty of paragons who would try fixing Omega. So no it has nothing to do with alignment.

Yeah how exactly is Shepard gonna take over Omega? Everyone doesn't quake in their boots at the side of Shepard and one can't stay in power for long with just brute force. No matter how strong you are you can be overwhelmed by numbers.

Jabs at Paragon Shep are always necessary. Someone's got to try to take them down a rung or two since we know Bioware won't do it.

(note that I was talking about paragon Shepard, not Paragon Ryzaki--don't try to make this personal)

You want to shoot Omega up and take it over? What then?

Fit engines and a giant fricken lazer to it, then fly it about like a Death Star.

Well, I don't know about other people, but my Shep's not gonna want to retire after beating the Reapers. "The rush of battle is often a potent and lethal addiction, for war is a drug." By the end of ME3, I'm looking to be loaded up on high tech weaponry, armor, and cash. I'll need some sort of project to keep me occupied.
