Is it possible to deinstall DAO (while keeping the character saves) and then import them into DA2? Or does DA2 need DAO to be installed to be able to import its saves?

As long as you keep the saves COMPLETE folder structure in place, even if other folders in the tree are empty, it works. With this setup, you can also use a gibbed save generator to save a new scenario for DAO and it will import.

I like doing the gibbed saves for import, I may not play DAO the way I set events in the save, but I do want to see how it would come out in DA2 if I had made all the "wrong" choices and been a jerk of a warden there LOL
