I was under the assumption that each Dragon Age game was a new story in a different region becuase they wanted to Expand thier world lore in the same way DnD's forgotten realms was set up. So with that I would also assume we will see neither Hawke or the grey warden. Bioware is big on story and envirement that much we know. So if the game is set in Tevinter or Orlias would it really be good for the story to have a rehashed Hero from another region come and save thier lands?

Grey Wardens are pretty much international.  Anything that involves darkspawn should have some Warden involvement, and I feel the HoF (hero of the last blight) would be playing a key role in that organization.

I don't get how people can say that the HoFs story is over. As far as anyone knows, the HOF is still alive and kicking.

The taint takes around 30 years to claim a warden. This is however before Avernus' research, which could lead to anything (and before whatever it is that Morrigans gift from that dlc was, there are some theories). At the end of DA2 9-10 years have passed since the last blight.

The HoF is an important individual to the Grey Wardens, Ferelden, and to all of Thedas. People are going to be interested in what happens to this person. The death of the HoF would surely be a well known, quickly spread piece of news.

Then at the end of DA2, we hear something mysterious about "The Warden"... which leads me to believe that there is something more to the story.

Now, I'm not saying anything about whether or not the HoF should be a character in any upcomming DA game or not. All I'm saying is that I think its pretty likely that well hear more about the HoF in the future.

It hasta be on Orlais since Sandals there and as we have all learned from the past 2 DA games now Where theres Sandal theres some Not Enchantment going on. So we also have learned about the Wardens they're primarily based in Orlais at the moment as well.

Didn't the seeker mention that both the Warden and Hawke have gone missing, though? That could lead into some plot in the next game or they could just leave it at that, they are missing, for better or worse.

Now I'm not saying I wouldn't want to see or play as my warden again, but I just don't see it happening. I love my warden, I loved the story I created for her, but if I had to choose, I'd want to create a whole new warden who ends up recruited by the HoF/Orlesian Warden (Depending on your ending/Awakening.) I am okay seeing a generic Warden in place of mine as long as the long-term decisions were the same as what I chose.

(Also, I apologize if this makes no sense or if my spelling is bad, I have been drinking. XD)

I figured this as well, and as Alistair said if he ends up being king, there is some drama going on with the Orlesians, not to mention the whole mess with the mages/templars in Kirkwall and the mess in Ferelden from cleaning up after the blight.

I kind of want to see what Denerim looks like now.

>_> And I still want to see Antiva.

They're not going to get rid of VO, giving the Warden a voice would be bad.

That's actually an interesting point, given what they showed at e3 for ME3 (I am talking about the whole dialogue choice by voice activation thing).
For ME3 (as well as for any DA2 like system) this does not make any sense whatsoever since the wheel only gives you keywords and your character actually says something different. So for you to say these keywords decreases rather then increases the cinematic feel of it. (I don't mind it tough since we don't have to use it.)
However, in an unvoiced system like DA:O's it would fit perfectly because as you are speaking the sentences, you get the impression that you are really talking with the people (as long as you don't mind talking to your TV?monitor of course but then again, you don't have to use it). So if they would want to get rid of the voice acting again and just use the kinect system as a meaningful option, I'd be thrilled.
Unfortunately I can't really see it happening though.

The Warden needs a voice. And that's not going to happen. So...Nope. DA3 will be about some new guy who turns out to be the most awesomness guy in history. Yeaaaaah.....I'll pass.

No Warden for DA3. He/she is dead in many players' games (not mine, I took the deal, but fair is fair).

Orlais for DA3. The game needs more foppish frenchies for Bioware to make fun of in a thinly veiled jab at Quebec.

Let's try to keep the discussion of a Grey Warden return restricted a a single thread. Thank you.

End of line.
