@ Albuquerque Comic Expo: Raphael Sbarge (Kaidan Alenko's VA)
"Mass Effect 3 Update from him: For those wondering, he has started
recording his lines. He's definitely not done yet. A podcaster asked if
he was going to be recording lines for m/m romance, and he confirmed it
and said he was all for it.
(He said voice actors prefer emotional
scenes, and not 'screamy' scenes.. like being on a dragon and screaming
:P I wasn't sure what that reference was)." (Can be seen: here.)

It wasn't officially announced from BioWare themselves, so don't jump for joy just yet...but this is a pretty good indenticator. And that means there's no doubt Ashley will also jump on the s/s bandwagon too. WOO! (Assuming, of course, they aren't making everyone do s/s lines and then removing whichever they like in the end product.)

Here is the podcast: http://www.planetidl...m/Podcasts.html  (Starts at 27:45 for ME3 info...unless there's more?) Ok, it says very little information about ME3. You don't actually hear Sbarge like I thought you would. They also say "Kydan Alinko" (Like "sky" and "sling") ...I lost faith in them. I don't think this is the official podcast they wanted to bring out, so let's up for a better one next.
Updated:
The podcaster is "Talk Nerdy To Me", you can join the group on Facebook here.
Scroll down half way down the page, and he mentions this along with picture of him and Raphael:
"You heard it here first on Talk Nerdy To Me from the Albuquerque Comic Expo(ACE): Actor/Voice actor Raphael Sbarge who voices Kaidan Alenko has confirmed that you can pursue an intimate relationship with him as a male Shepherd." (Yes, he did spell "Shepard" wrong, but hey! He spelled "Kaidan" right...)

twitter.com/#!/TNTMPodcast/status/84362040130551808

You heard it first here from Talk Nerdy To Me at the ACE that you CAN
pursue an intimate relationship with Kaidan Alenko as male Shepherd.

Voice/Actor Raphael Sbarge who voices Kaidan Alenko has confirmed that
you can pursue an intimate relationship with him as male Shepherd

twitter.com/#!/TNTMPodcast/status/84770404333404160

he said bioware wrote it into the game that it is possible and that he likes that they did that

Thanks, IsaacShep!

Edit: Changed title to make it more suitable until further notice.

Didnt Kaidan say the lines for m/m romance in ME1 too?

Not that im knocking the news. Its just the fact its recorded doesn't instantly mean it will be included in the game.

Nice to know its at least there though

Yep, that was me in the panel. :) I wish I knew who the podcaster was, I'll keep an eye out to see if he puts the clip online (so you can have a direct quote versus what I remembered).

Here say from someone at a comic convention is hardly evidence.

Nope, only Ash got some s/s lines back in ME1 if I remember correctly. But you're right, they could scratch them out in the end product, like they tend to do...But since they actually confirmed s/s romances, I sure as hell hope not this time around.

To me this wording does not confirm Kaidan is a m/m romance option.
It simply confirms his VO is 'all for it'.
Which we already knew as he did s/s dialogue for ME1.

Regardless I hope he isn't the s/s option, I'd rather have a new character be gay instead of tacking a new sexuality on to an already establised character.

As long as this don't ruin or unrecognizably change the characters its fine for me.

Yeah I thought it may have just been for FemShep/Ash but wasnt sure. It sounds very likely then that they will record s/s lines for all characters that you can romance.  Up to Bioware if they include them in game or not after.

Still as you say, its news as it is being recorded and at least opens up possibilities.

Though this would indeed be great news, I am not throwing a party based on hearsay just yet, but hope just grew a little stronger. I wish they'd come out already and tell us what they are going to do.

I remember last week people mentioned that BW would talk about the romances a bit more once everyone is back from E3...But I don't think that's happened yet...And I have no clue if they're planning to announce anything about s/s, I doubt it anyway.

I understand the concerns on hearsay, I'm also waiting for 'official' confirmation from Bioware/ME team. ;) I was just typing up my experience of meeting him and what he spoke about in the panel (besides offering tons of advice to aspiring voice actors). He didn't have much information himself, as they're still working on it (what he told the podcaster). It got some giggles for the audience, but he said he was very accepting of the idea.

I'm just wondering about the NDA. The other VAs are very secretive about ME3.

We all thought you would scream for joy even at the slightest hint regardless of the source, Adam. But I guess it beats getting totally dissapointed later on.

That is also very true. Hale and Hallis won't speak of it at all.

Kaidan most certainly did as well.

He didnt say anything about the gameplay or storyline. I wouldn't have said anything if he slipped a spoiler, but he said it in a panel and answered a podcaster for his podcast. I thought s/s had already been confirmed, so I was glad he was all for it.

Kaidan says the same lines with FemShep...However, Meer does seem to have s/s lines.

I am ok for variety of romance, bi, gay or hetero, but I hope they don't change sexuality of character in mass effect 1 ! sorry It's just my opinion. I hope for the next game, the devs make a character gay, bi or hetero and no change sexuality after for the fan service !
