This is only goig to fan the flames already taking place on the forums. Posting things like this rather than waiting for Bioware to announce it only cause conflict. I'm dissapointed in you.

The title says "potential confirmation", and I see nothing wrong with posting legitimate information if it's what Bioware is actually doing.

This is by no means the flimsiest rumour that I've seen on this board, by a long shot. People can spin elaborate theories out of one flippant comment; here we have (allegedly) a question answered by the voice actor. Why not post the information?

Great, Bioware is going to ruin another game, just like DA2. Good job Bioware.  Retcon much.

My first reaction was to be very happy, but then I remembered that Greg Ellis *thought* he was still voicing Anders in DA2, when someone asked him on his facebook before the game came out.

Even if he's recorded the lines, it doesn't mean the romance is in the final game until we've got official confirmation.

I want to believe. But it's best to not get our hopes too high just yet.

Yeah, I would still be pretty cautious with this info. It strikes me as kind of odd that he would know he was recording specific m/m lines, unless he was approached specifically about that.

Because this is heresay at best.  We have no confirmation and it is only going to cause strife throughout the forum.  There is only going to be fighting from this.  There are enough people who are angry with the way everyone is treating each other right now.  The For the Love and the Kaidan threads are likely the worst culprits.  This is going to add fuel to an already raging fire.  Rather than letting everyone cool down a bit it is only going to cause more fighting.

Edit: The inclusion of s/s is not going to ruin the game but the continual fighting among the site members will ruin BSN.  Everyone needs to accept the fact that people have different opinions and they are all valid.

That's true. The last thing we need is more division.

But if the audio can be confirmed by somebody (according to the original post, it was recorded) then this is legitimate information and deserves to be noted on the forum.

At the very least it's a hint as to the possible options for one of the more significant game sidequests.

I'm not saying it won't be controversial if it's confirmed (and if it's not confirmed, then this thread can die off), but if the information is genuine then a lot of people are going to want to know about it.

It should be obvious that everyone should try and minimise any potential for this to descend into an epic flamewar.

Even if it was recorded we don't know what that means.  There was a statement that Ashley was a s/s romance by the OP.  There wasn't even a mention of that by the girl who supposedly hear this.  That is merely an assumption.  The OP needs to ask to have this thread closed.

I think its a little naive to think that fans are simply going to ignore news like this.  Yes its still hear-say as you point out, but the content of it is enough to get people interested. Of course always take with a large grain of salt untill Bioware confirm/debunk it.  But its still a very interesting development regardless and it would inevitably get a thread asking about it.

Additionally by posting this on Biowares official forums it hopefully points the news out to them and they can respond.

I understand you (like me and many others) have had enough of all these hostilities.  But untill Bioware confirm or deny it they too are fueling this so called fire and aiding in the wild speculation.   If there was an answer already these threads about possibilities and speculation wouldnt appear.

And I would like to point out that it is both sides of the argument that are at fault here...people who are for and against it.  The extremes need to be brought down a lot.  I can't even go post my opinion in the Kaidan or the For the Love thread without feeling attacked (And I'm for the inclusion of s/s squadmates).

Going to second this one.  Wondering if Bioware is going to respond officially to this.  Usually they're not too hip about VAs leaking info like that.

Sorry if you feel my post attacked you, that wasnt the intent and im not sure where abouts in the post it personally offended you. I felt it answered your question. You asked why 'hear-say' was being discussed and my post explained the reasons.

lines were recorded in ME1: true, but no decision had been published regarding s/s , so it was easy for BW to remove the option.
lines are recorded in ME3 : so the podcast says , and decision has been confirmed about s/s/ , so chances are pretty good. And i don't think they'll through the expense of recording lines for umpteen characters only to scrap them after .

My reference was not about you.  It was about certain Kaidan fans that I've seen in both those threads.  And as I said...both sides have their extremes.  Middle of the rode people get insulted and put down by people on both sides unfortunately.  The problems with the fighting is that the middle of the rode people are the majority.  And if the fighting continues then they are simply going to go into the mind set to have nobody included as a s/s option.

There is lots and lots of unsused dialogue in ME2.  My guess is they are gauging the response of the ME forums and with all the fighting taking place it doesn't help any side.  All it has devolved into is both sides (and very few individuals at that) trying to be more vocal that the other.  With the middle simply dissapearing from the forums.

hmm, i could see having various versions of some interaction scenes and see which works the best finally, therefore scrapping some.
but to have a total character 's lines being scrapped because " nah, let's not make him gay after all " ?
ah well ...
anyway, like we know what really is going on behind ( or in front of ) BW's flat panels. I wish they'd just come out and say: such and such will be given the option and that's it . They showed combat scenes , confirmed all sorts of decisions regarding squadmates, weapons, sites etc.. so why this floating ambiguity .. *sigh*

Wait a minute... it may be a stupid question, but: Sbarge confirmed this is the lines for ME3? Not for any of countless shows?

You have a truly warped view of what it takes to ruin a game if you think the bisexual LI's in DA2 were what brought that game down.

We're still waiting for the audio (if it ever turns up, and if this is genuine), but yes that's what it looks like.

He was asked the question by a fan, specifically about m/m in ME3.
