ok, bi ... it's so quantum , is it a wave (hetero ) , is it a particle ( gay =) ).. it's both , yay .
as for Rahna , i could refer to all my prior girlfriends, at least the ones i did the deed with when closeted. 
but really, i'm as gay as they come, well a good 5 on the Kinsey .

With respect to this thread and with respect to the podcasters, this isn't confirmation of anything.

I trust that they heard what they said they heard, but Sbarge's line was vague and ambiguous enough, even before we factor in that there's no accurate transcript of what he said.

Is it probable? Sure. Likely? Definitely. But certain? No. We need more evidence.

They said they didn't record the session because they weren't sure of the etiquette in that particular situation.   The podcast is pretty much a retelling of their experience after they had already been to the convention.  We can say that this conversation did happen because there was a witness (who is on the BSN boards), but the accuracy of the statement can be put into question because it was basically being retold from memory.

I don't think the podcast really changes my stance on it -- which is cautious optimism.  They likely aren't lying, and neither was Mr. Sbarge, but who knows what will happen between now and game release.

If the quote from Casey's twitter was any inidication, this won't be the case... but they're still being pretty dodgy and button-lipped about everything, so anything could happen at this point.  It's still more than half a year away before release.

If Ashley is indeed a Christian, and doesn't lean more to the agnostic side of religion, then I sincerely hope that Ashley remains straight. Bioware have consistently offended all three Abrahamic religions in their games; they should not offend Christianity twice in the same franchise.

Fine, have equality if you must, but it works both ways. If Ashley is Christian and bi, Bioware will potentially create far more controversy than they did with the first game.

I really doubt they'll do that. I think they realize that some existing LI characters are 'safer' than others, and they'll either go with those characters or go with new characters. New characters have to be created from the ground up, so that is a consideration, but existing characters have passionate fanbases that might be upset by characters being taken in unexpected directions, so they have to consider that too. We're still a long way from the finish line, and I hope that whatever BioWare does, they do it well.

From what I can glean, she sounds a bit more deist than agnostic. It's likely that BioWare won't nail down exactly which brand of religion she suscribes to.

Hold up there. How has BioWare done that? There was that silly incident with Gaider stating the Qunari where Islamic Borg, but as much as I'd like to bash Gaider that was in no way intened as an insult. And what have they even done against Christianity or Judaism?
As for the rest of your post: every counterpoint I have is the obvious one, and is likely to do nothing more then invite flaming, so I'll just leave you with this reaciton: "sigh*.

We know she believe in "a God" and in "an afterlife". No specifics whatsoever, which was probably intentional.

Whatever about religion nonsense. Finally found and listened to the podcast about Raphael. It's not an audio from the actual panel, they're just retelling the events. Nonetheless, it's still great 'cause they talk more about it plus, we have it all confirmed by MarqueAZ so we know it's true. Love the bit how he said he wasn't suppoused to say it tehehe. It pretty much seals it. We have recounts form two independent sources both confirming Raphael did say it! Kaidan will finally be available for our ManSheps!
