I know this is likely to have been answered in the old forum and most of my google searches point there but as the old forum is not available I will have to ask the question here.

I am trying to set my linux machine (ubuntu 11.04 64bit) up as a dedicated NWN server for the family, I have installed the files from the package supplied by bioware (linuxdedserver169.tar.gz), added in the chitin.key file as it appeared to be missing, ran the fixinstall script (which now all passes since copying the chitin.key file accross).  I can launch the server but when I issue the module commend to load a module or if I lauch the server with a switch to load a module on start up I always get an error message indicating that there has been a segmentation error and the server crashes out (nothing gets posted in the log files that I can see to indicate why though).

Anyone got any ideas how to fix this

linuxdedserver169.tar.gz is only an update. For complete installation, download NWNDedicatedServer1.69.zip

You dont have all the right files my guess...Im using an Ubuntu server and am a complete noob.

also if using 64 bit linux you need 32bit lib 

command for this : sudo apt-get -v install ia32-libs

Anyways banged my head and visited this sight many times before getting it to run so this is my advice if you can use it.

Many thanks folks, looks like I am now work although I had to also delete the "nwn.ini" file as Linux did not that at all.
