I'd like to know as well. If I'm going to stripmine the galaxy, I'd like it to be worth it.

It will likely be based on your level and which achievements you have, just like the ME1 to ME2 import.

It's a different situation though. We keep the ship- we're not starting over again. Are we? <_<

Sorry for no text in the OP, this forum won't let me post a thread on my phone with text but I can reply..

I ask because bioware changes the way things work, if slightly from game to game and I'd hate to start ME3 and have to mine all day or be without super expensive tech I could have saved for

I find it exceedingly unlikely that Bioware would design the system so as to encourage people importing to ME3 to play in a manner in which they A) Never buy upgrades and B) Never spend resources, just so they can import all of it to ME3.

There's a reason they did it this way in ME1 to ME2.... 1) to prevent an imported character in ME2 from being insanely wealthy (I.e. I had around 6 million credits in ME1 when I imported), thus breaking the game when it comes to "balance", and 2) It allows Bioware to carefully control how much stronger you will be EXACTLY when importing.

By basing it off level & achievements, Bioware can control those known factors.

Were they to allow your resources and money to import, they know many players would do a full platyrhough on casual difficulty, never spend their credits, spend the minimal resources needed on ship upgrades... and then import an absurdly wealthy character into ME3, thus breaking the game's balance (then people would **** ME3 is too easy).

By basing it again on Level + achievementsm they can control entirely how much stronger you are compared to a non imported character.

Simple & logical game design concept.

I wouldn't bother, it'd be tedious and if you import a game you'll probably get a resource bonus anyway.
