I've seen quite a few threads/topics full of people basically begging, crying, whining, and bothering everyone and everything just to be able to have a sexual relationship with the same sex in Mass Effect 3. Now in Dragon Age 2 this didn't work very well; as I played my Straight Male apparently all of the in-game Male Squadies thought I was gay just because I tried to be "friendly" with everyone. So I already didn't like the idea though I do believe in equality.

Now another problem I saw is that Bioware may be "changing" some of the original characters from Straight to Gay or Bisexual - which makes very little sense for some players. Its unlikely that the programmers are smart enough to design "personality" based on "gameplay choices" - so its a pretty big likely hood that EVERYONE regardless of your previous playthroughs will have many of the returning characters become Bisexual just for the many new trend followers who've been harrasing people for it all along.

Usually I'd be fine with this kind of thing though; I'm not against same sex relationships but I'm against ****ing with the lore for a series of games. I recently heard that Kaidan may become bisexual all of a sudden; and that just doesn't make sense. It's like if Jack randomly became bisexual yet shes claimed shes not. Sure you can argue that ""they never stated their sexuality"" but you figure they would have made some form of sign or acted strangely orrrr generally "sounded" bisexual. Most of them have not - which is why I "FULLY ACCEPT NEW CHARACTERS TO BE BISEUXAL" but I "FULLY REJECT RE-OCCURING CHARACTERS BECOMING BISEXUAL".

If Bioware made a few new characters who are bisexual thats fine, but if they change the original characters (Garrus/Wrex/Tali/Ashley/Kaidan/Zaeed etc) and turn some bisexual I'll probably not buy Mass Effect 3 for the soul fact that they can't just stick with the lore and they are trying to please some of the more upset people playing the games.

I understand I'm going to get tons of hate and people will go ""LUL UR A FLAEMR"" or ""HUMOFUBE"" and what not, but its not the case. I'm simply baffled as to why Bioware is "selling out" to the gamers who just seem to be more and more picky about things. I was fine with ME1, and fine with ME2 - they don't need to keep changing ****!!!! Leave it alone! If the picky gamers don't like not being a Male Shepard and not having the option to screw Thane in the ass or something who cares! Hes straight! Get over it!

Fenris and Merrill never did anything to indicate that they were interested in my characters romantically, if I did not flirt with them.

Do you consider both paragon and renegade dialogue options "canon", even if you don't choose them? I chose not to initiate romance with any character in ME2. I didn't have the impression that I was supposed to believe that they're all pining for my Shepard.

That's how I do it...in my MEverse, Garrus, Thane, and Jacob were never interested in my Shepard sexually/romantically.  Though, I believe Tali has a tiny crush on her XD

Ever since DA2 came out a lot of s/s supporters began getting real pissy - some pop up here and there in random threads but they usually make a 40000 post long thread about "gay shepard" or something and it gets really annoying to see Bioware even THINK about changing the already present characters for the soul fact of keeping a minor portion of the base happy. I mean yeah - introduce some new character with no back-story and do whatever you want. Just leave the origionals (sp) alone!

And I'm sorry if anyone think's I'm flaming but I like this franchise and I just hope ME3 is a "solid game". Not some giant cluster **** of fan ideas/desires.

I believe that it's stated that unless you show interest in the potential s/s companion, it won't come up. I think they're going out of their way to avoid the Anders route.

Which is an OPTION.  That you will have regardless of whether or not you want to take other OPTIONS away from everyone else entirely.

Not every character in Dragon Age 2 thinks that your main character is homosexual, far from it actually. Neither Merrill or Fenris showed any signs of interest, unless you reached out for them. Mass Effect is a trilogy, so there is definitely a lot of time to futher develop the characters. I don't think it's fair to say, that we know everything about characters such as Kaidan or Ashley, for instance, since we only had them on the team for one game.

...Jack is bisexual. She has a sexual relationship with a couple. Granted, she says that she's not interested in femshep, but that's a matter of taste. I guess.

I just don't get the big deal. I guarantee, you know at least one person who's gay and just hasn't told you or come out yet. Not everyone goes around screaming their sexuality off the rooftops.

Anders was optional in DAII but the only way to let him know you werent interested was to be rude. I dont want to be rude to scare off the homosexuals.

Garrus isn't gay.

Thane isn't gay (he has a friggen kid even).

Grunt will not pork a male Shep.

Anderson isn't going to bend you over.

Kaidan shouldn't be gay but lord knows that he acted a little prissy during the Horizon thing in ME2 (then again Ashley acted super butt hurt too).

Tali isn't going to surf the river in the canyon (so to speak).

Liara isn't technically bi-sexual since they aren't male or female so to speak. They can mate/bond with anything, even a jellyfish I'm sure.

Wrex will never - ever - ever be gay.

Jack - possible but doubtful because she doesn't like the girl girl thing as I said.

Miri - who cares about the Cerberus bimbo (no offense I never liked her; she didn't seem like she gave a crap about anything but Cerberus).

I chose the light mechs over Jacob so whatever with that.

Zaeed / Kasumi aren't gay clearly - Zaeed is a mechomaniac or whatever as he probably makes out with Jessie.

Samara = same as Liara except probably a better lover.



Point is; the characters have already been established, they have a backstory, they have lore to them, they should never change for the people saying ""OHHH MY FEM SHEP WANTS MIRI IN MY PANTSL ULULUU"" no...Just no...Leave it alone... Bring in like three new characters or something, but don't screw with the original ones.
