Not every character in Dragon Age 2 thinks that your main character is homosexual, far from it actually. Neither Merrill or Fenris showed any signs of interest, unless you reached out for them. Mass Effect is a trilogy, so there is definitely a lot of time to futher develop the characters. I don't think it's fair to say, that we know everything about characters such as Kaidan or Ashley, for instance, since we only had them on the team for one game.

Oddly enough it seems that only the Male characters in DA2 are really ****ed up. I tried to Romance Merrill but Fenris / Anders kept trying to get in my pants. It seemed that the whole "gay" issue was pushed too far, or the programming was ****ed. I honestly didn't hit on them at all (straight) but I ended up getting both of them to either die or hate me because I had to basically tell them off to get'm off my junk.

Absolutely not, two of my family me,bers are gay, I still talk to them and love them as I would a normal person.

However I do not belive it as any place in Mass Effect, that is all.

Tali isn't going to surf the river in the canyon (so to speak).

Liara isn't technically bi-sexual since they aren't male or female so to speak. They can mate/bond with anything, even a jellyfish I'm sure.

Wrex will never - ever - ever be gay.

Jack - possible but doubtful because she doesn't like the girl girl thing as I said.

Miri - who cares about the Cerberus bimbo (no offense I never liked her; she didn't seem like she gave a crap about anything but Cerberus).

I chose the light mechs over Jacob so whatever with that.

Zaeed / Kasumi aren't gay clearly - Zaeed is a mechomaniac or whatever as he probably makes out with Jessie.

Samara = same as Liara except probably a better lover.

Point is; the characters have already been established, they have a backstory, they have lore to them, they should never change for the people saying ""OHHH MY FEM SHEP WANTS MIRI IN MY PANTSL ULULUU"" no...Just no...Leave it alone... Bring in like three new characters or something, but don't screw with the original ones.

They may not be gay. They can, however, just be bisexual. Or demisexual. I, personally, would like to see more asexual- openly asexual- characters.

Truthfully, though, I can't be arsed. If they're straight/gay/bi/omni/asexual, I just want them to be well written. I don't see how a character can come out of the closet and thus be automatically badly-written or retconned.

Which is an OPTION.  That you will have regardless of whether or not you want to take other OPTIONS away from everyone else entirely.

Anders was optional in DAII but the only way to let him know you werent interested was to be rude. I dont want to be rude to scare off the homosexuals.

I didn't like having to be rude (those options were sh*tty), but I didn't mind telling him that he was barking up the wrong tree.

This **** is almost as bad as the action/shooter fans who want more fast paced action. Mass Effect 3 is going to be a melting pot of fan-boy/girl creations, desires, and skip allll the story / logic that made ME1 awesome and ME2 cool

And what's your criteria for this? What makes Kaidan different from Ashley in this regard? Sexuality is not personality, nor is it a latent personality-defining part of your life.

And to the few calling me homophobic, my best friend for probably three years had been gay. My gaydar went off often but we were good friends up until he started being a douche to everyone just to get his way hah.

As I've said though; I'm all for new characters --- NEW CHARACTERS --- being introduced for the gay/bi people, thats PERFECTLY FINE! I think thats AWESOME - EQUALITY - AWESOME!!

But for the returning characters to BECOME GAY suddenly is ****ing stupid.

Some characters, probably some returning ones are going to be available as s/s LI's likely as they were always intended to be but removed due to fanservice to people like the OP. Now Bioware is 'straightening' up to the bullies. Deal with it.

If you don't think Kaidan is bi, I'd suggest another playthrough of ME:1. The longing stares Shepard and Kaidan shared across the orange glow of the control panels every time the two speak made me feel bad for them that they couldn't embrace the desire both of them so obviously shared, and I'd consider myself a zero on the Kinsey scale.

I hope Bioware at least allows us to reject their advances completely, in a disgusted manner. I loved how Anders was such a little **** about it.

You do not know every single detail of what goes on in these characters' heads. You do not know them better than the writers. To claim otherwise is frankly, idiotic.

I'll admit, I haven't done any in-depth studies, but I'd imagine there are a few bisexual people who have children. Even some gay ones.

And people are born gay. They don't chose to be it.

One of the first things anyone accused of being racist/homophobic/antisemetic etc. is "I'm not.  Some of my best friends are black/gay/Jewish etc."

If it could be implemeted properly into the subplot then I wouldnt mind it being there, might even try it out just to see all content, however it seems like its just a fan service much like (god forgive me, I love em both) Tali and Garrus in ME2 and it wont make much since.
