Hello, I failed to find a solution for my problem with search so could anyone please tell me where can I find and how can I setup original (english) voice set for all NWN parts?

I would like to keep texts and menu in my native language, but I just can't stand hearing characters speaking with different voices, I want them to sound the same way as I heard 9 years ago :)

Language of my game is russian if that can help. I'll keep trying to search in the internet meanwhile, thanks in advance.

Wouldn't it be easier to install the english language version and then replace his dialoge.tlk file afterwards to have russian text and english voice. Not entirely sure that would cover everything, since conversation files themselves might need to be in russian.

Thanks a lot, ShaDoOoW.

It's now impossible to buy here english copy, and the CD I had several years ago is long lost. Ordering through internet isn't an option for me as well.

Why not?

You know you get to download the game from GOG.com for only 10$ right?

So you pay 10$ for something you could have free? Not speaking that $$$ are bit problematics for us from Europe.

30min left to upload

I didnt know that, but to be honest I dont want to spend money unless I'm 100% sure that will help. And I dont know if it will be possible to translate dialogues from original campaigns in russian if I get an english game client.

couldnt upload on rapidshare, so try this: http://www.uloz.to/9...glish-sounds-7z

click on "Stáhnout" button and then make captcha and it should let you to download it.

Its 7zip archive contains all wav files from english copy, you will want to put it into your override folder.

That can however be quite a mess its thousands files, so there is better yet more complicated way to achieve the same result. You must use NWN/utils/nwhak.exe and make a hak from all of these files. Then you have to put this hak into patch folder and then you have to adjust NWN/nwnpatch.ini file to contain:

[Patch]
PatchFile000=name_of_the_hak

That really helped!

It's much more fun and interesting to play with all characters speaking in english with original voices, thank you!

Thanks, Shadooow!

I wanted for some time now a version complete in English - my version is german, my native language. It is no problem to change the dialog.tlk file so that all texts are in English, but the voice files are completely different. For the Linux client, there is (or was) a possibility to download the game resources for the OC, but for SoU and HotU there has never been any chance to lay my hands on the English resources.

I want to play the game with Russian voices but English subtitles. Is that possible? Did the Russians do all the voices in the game (including Aribeth's, etc) in Russian?

I have the English version currently.

Does this work with the Linux client as well? It does not seem to work for me but perhaps I did something wrong?

Perhaps someone with more insight on this could help?

Edit: Never mind that, I found out what I did wrong: The name of the patch file must be given without extension in the nwnpatch.ini file.

Greetings
