I have read this on the internet and wonder if it is true? Is it a choice or is female shepard mandatory as the lead on the boxart? If so then this will unfortunately put me off buying the collectors edition.

Ah okay, that seems like a decent compromise seeing as male shepard has been the lead from the get-go so should be on the front.

This type of chest pumping, alpha male bullsht is what got the female lead on the boxart to begin with.

Bullsht. Just look at any topic wanting to discuss their femsheps. This is a perfect example of what happens when you antagonize the fangirls. They are vicious and they will get what they want. That's why I stay out of their topics, debating only increases their ire.
