What would be good is that Bioware continue to pander to the minority female fans and the male fanbase completely abandons them and they are left with very poor sales. I like Bioware but in recent years i think they are going in the wrong direction. Now please let this thread die. The original content has been answered and the thread is now redundant.

Shepard can be male/female, so why does ManShep only get the coverage? Why should FemShep not get a look in once in a while. We are finally getting one half of a cover and a trailer. Why should Jennifer Hale not get some recognition for doing the same work as Mark Veer etc?

Um..from what I've seen a **** load of guys play as Femshep anyway. I don't, but a lot do. So, yea they're not 'pandering' to the female fans only.

Shepard can be male/female, so why does ManShep only get the coverage? Why should FemShep not get a look in once in a while. We are finally getting one half of a cover and a trailer. Why should Jennifer Hale not get some recognition for doing the same work as Mark Veer etc?

Male privilege. Most men fail to realize how entitled they actually are. They are so used to being pandered to that they consider people granting concessions to other groups as an "imbalance."

I know there aren't as many female gamers but sometimes it feels as if we aren't allowed to play or to be even considered. Why should our sex affect our gaming experience?

Although I shouldn't be bumping this thread, I'll throw my two cents in b4 lock. If such a vapid, shallow reason such as who is on the box art will curb you from buying the CE, all I can say is enjoy your standard copy with no additional firearms, no alternate appearance pack, no FENRIS pet, no N7 patch, no art book, and no soundtrack.

Bioware made their decision to have Femshep on the CE's boxart and I'm glad they made it. Femshep is as valid a protagonist as Sheploo/Maleshep.

clearly we are only allowed to enjoy pink slippers, handbags and flowers in our hair. (which is so 60's btw, not even in right now.)

I wasn't suggesting that I approve of it, if that's what you were thinking. I was just making an obsevation. it shouldn't affect anything. There are more female gamers than you think, they're just less vocal. I think somewhere around 40%

For what it's worth, Bioware is one of the few companies (alongside other western RPG developers like Obsidian and Bethesda) that actually seem to care about the diversity of their fanbase. It's only natural to hold them to a higher standard because of their previous track record.

I find it strange how women want to do everything men do constantly. Men do not wish to do everything women do. I find giving it to them doggystyle shows how dominate the man is and puts the females back in their place. Just my 2 cents.
